I wonder if Kawahara has rape fetish. In every new arc of SAO, there's always someone, a new heroine becoming the victim of a attempted rape. Kawahara really should just go all the way with it.

The characters in this arc are actually AIs/bots right?

I actually enjoy SAO, a lot actually but I have to admit that Kawahara definitely has a rape fetish.

man why tone it down we need more of that rape

All the hype!!

I'm hoping A1 does a continuous 50 episode run rather than going split cour of 2 25 ep seasons. It'll probably be the latter though. :^(

When the anime os good I don't mind it spreading on 2 seasons

Hit or miss depending on if they properly adapt the arc and don't miss so much out that it leaves LN readers feeling cheated

A little clarification/spoiler, just in case you're interested in the fact you mentioned:

Now I can get hype, yeah :D

Though, when will people stop with the harem stuff ?

Alicization is almost a complete shift from the rest of the series.

People are expecting stuff that won't be there, lol. If they get disappointed because of it then ... they are rather strange people

Looking forward to how this turns out.

When you'll see that people who wants fast pace anime will be triggered because SAO S3 had a ultra-mega fast pacing.

Yes. That's what I will except.

Hope this one gets better this time. Cause every time they made a sequel, it will be getting worse and worse.

Fantastic news. This is one of the best arcs in the series. Can't wait to see it when it comes out in fall 18

So where did they come from? Were they "once" real humans who had a physical body? If they were created by programmers using a computer then those are what you call an artificial intelligence- masked as "wannabe human" so we'll feel some sympathy or empathy for them, thus forcing some drama once again for their artificial suffering. Lul.

As for the rape part, I think it's the only way to destroy Kirito and the destruction of one's sanity while watching his waifu's suffering is always entertaining to see.

Since it's a spoiler i'll be using this again:

This is not a PV. That's a fucking teaser.

Well, the director change shoudn't impact the show that much. I mean, Ito is a good director, but SAO never had a particular direction style that you could attribute to him. The show relied more on it's episode staff, especially on the animators and action directors (on S1 Takahiro Shikama, on S2 Tetsuya Takeuchi). True, Ono isn't a great director but he does have a knack for action. Sooo... might be cool.

But this is because it isn't about Asuna at all? I mean she appears little but this is more focusing on Eugeo and Alice rather than Kirito himself. He's more of a secondary character in this arc.

And being fair if you're going to give it a 1 because of the fact that she's not going to appear until probably Volume 18, then its best to just not watch the arc altogether. Just saying.

Of course I'm not going to give it a one, that was a joke. I'm still annoyed with little appearance of Asuna since I only watch SAO for Asuna. That's just why I watch it, though.
If it's well done (the way it is in the novel - or better) you'll surely love Asuna's first appearance in the underworld, and her influence in the story from then on.

Sounds interesting. I haven't read the LN for SAO but hope this adaptation will turn out alright!

Nice to hear will be boradcasted this fall, i read it have a good amount of drama and from the comments above from people who read the novels seems so, but i like both Overlord and SAO for this, they do not make compromises and go straight to the point.
This will be a good fall season for drama isekai fans, and hopefully they will announce the third season of Overlord too. <3

Ahh I see Lol, my apologies then for that.

Well, as I've said before, she only becomes relevant around Volume 18-19 iirc. And she does make an appearance in one of said volumes but... that's where the worst volume of that arc is at (can they just cut out some of the unneeded info dumping pls xS)

Honestly... I AM PISSED!

I just want some more stories around Kirito and Asuna but Asuna makes very little appearance in this arc. What's more, they introduce another girl, but not any girl—a childhood friend!.

I am rating this a 1 as soon as the first episode is released.

Well I'm kind of hyped for this (I have been reading some of the Alicization arc and I like it so far). Hopefully it will be enough to cover the entire arc and not have to rush things.

They're portrayed as humans without a physical body. They're "real souls" that can learn, grow up, and die like every other human's, but they have no real body (only the one in the world they live in). It feels really cruel when right at the start of the series they show what one of these 'humans' would see/feel if they're not in that world.

As for the rape part, i think i don't mind it as long as it actually means something to the story, you know, making things move and go on.
