TV Anime 'Persona 5 The Animation' Announces Staff Members

A live broadcast held on Abema TV for the previously announced Persona 5 The Animation TV series has revealed new details. The main character's name in the anime will be Ren Amamiya, which is different to the manga series where his name is Akira Kurusu. A new preview has also been released and revealed that the TV series will premiere in Spring 2018 via Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, MBS, and BS11. The series will also stream on Abema TV.

Airing on Saturdays 24:30 (Sundays 0:30 a.m.) via Tokyo MX, Gunma TV, Tochigi TV, MBS, and BS11 starting April 7 (8). AbemaTV and Gyao will also make the anime available online.

Why is everyone so worried about how they’ll adapt the story?

Best part of the game was the interaction between the characters, I would love for them to just take a few memento’s and show the phantom thieves at their height. Or maybe do only kamoshida’s palace and the one with art boiii and for the rest do memento’s and char development :)

staff looks good, bUT WHY THE NAME CHANGE?
I've been playing through P5 with MC's name as Akira Kurusu
THE INCONSISTENCY STRESSES ME OUT
but the other name isn't bad, in fact it's quite cute?

But 24 episodes also feels a bit too little. That means that each palace will only get 3 episodes. Imagine the Kamoshida arc being done in 3 episodes

And let's say that Madarame's arc gets 3 episodes too.

Honestly, each palace should get at least 4 episodes, and one episode to bridge the arcs together. And that's still cutting out all the fun character moments and social links confidants. Honestly, this anime might need at least 39 episodes.

And that's another show that's making the spring season soooo packed and exciting. =)

Considering how big Persona 5 is, the very least that A-1 can do length-wise is a 2-cour adaptation. Either way, I hope the staff does a good job with the adaptation overall, as 5 is my favourite Persona of them all.

The staff is impressive and the PV is fan-fucking-tastically loyal to the game's art design. 2-cour would be really rushed considering that each palace would only get 3 episodes, when each palace might need 4-5 (and that's still stretching it). 3-cour would be ideal.

Also, Spring 2018 is hype af.
