TV Anime 'Island' Announces Main Cast Members [Update 1/29]

The official anime website for the previously announced Island TV anime has launched and announced its cast members. The cast will reprise their respective roles from the original visual novel. Animated by feel., the anime is slated for 2018.

Cast
Rinne Ohara: Yukari Tamura (B-gata H-kei)
Karen Kurutsu: Kana Asumi (the Haiyore! Nyaruko-san series)
Sara Garandou: Rie Murakawa (One Room)

Update January 29
The official website for the TV anime has announced a change to the cast member. Sara Garandou will be voiced by Hibiku Yamamura (Hina Logi: From Luck & Logic) instead of Rie Murakawa. The reason for cast member change is that the anime staff members are unable to answer the request done by Haikyo, the agency Murakawa is in, about changing the content. Haikyo is really sorry for troubling the production team, so they suggested Yamamura, who is also in Haikyo, for replacement.

A pretty trashy VN but if Feel is doing it they might turn it around.

The VN is from the same game studio.Just need to point that out, the animation studio is (thank god) different for the anime.

Never played this but I noticed some positive reception of it in the visual novel community so hopefully that is a good sign. Though they could always screw up the adaptation like so many others out there.

The girl on the poster looks cute enough that I think it's worth at least a look for that. Though the synopsis of the VN sounds like something that would bother me on a visceral level, like the mentioning of words like "future" and "legend." In either case, I'll give it a try but I can't exactly say I'm jubilant about it.

Something is telling me it will be some ecchi anime, and the main girl will be fucking famous, like Sagiri, Rem and my child Satanya.

I've heard the VN is pretty damn good, so I'll give this a shot. But I strongly hope there will be a good staff behind this, especially since this is adapting a 30-50 hour long VN.

One thing to note is that this was the #1 rated visual novel of 2016 in Japan. And honestly Studio feel. is one of the most improved studios. If they can have competent staff and execute the premise well, then this may be another hidden gem, just like Hinamatsuri.

To be honest I am pretty excited for this. Since I honestly can't get access to the VN due to horrible connection (once again) I'll just check it out. The studio isn't so bad honestly, I like Feel.

Though they could have announced the staff though.
