I've been reading and liking the start of the manga. Good for Viz that it's getting an anime since I'm guessing the sales have been awful up til now. Doubt I'll ever watch this adaptation myself with the ugly 3DCG and all, though.

Whoa. Ultraman was a part of my childhood, so this is pretty interesting news to me. Nice.

its Digital Frontier so expect 3DCG but i hope the 3DCG will be like what they did with Infini-T Force that is airing right now since it does not have low framerate

If the anime ends up looking anything like the PV, then I'll be glad.

This looks pretty dope. But well we'll see, with proper staff etc we will have to see about that.

Thats something you'd think they would have done a long time ago.

They did, at least once. Though I got the impression it wasn't that popular with the fan base, because they never seem to talk about it much.

But didn't Ultraman already get an anime adaptation?

Oh wait they changed the name a bit, called it Evangelion instead. I can see why that would be confusing. Haha.

I fucking love linebarrel's manga (the anime is almost completely anime original even down to character personalities, its also awful) so im super hyped to see this as its by the same people. They have some seriously sick mecha designs that are portrayed more as organic monsters than mechs so i imagine there will be some really awesome designs in this.

I definitely reccomend people check out linebarrel if they are looking foreword to this, its not flaweless and a tad style over substance but its still a pretty unique sci fi series and just has some extremely badass moments. Its honestly criminal how it never got a real adaption cause if it got a studio like bones it'd be pretty amazing but instead it got jipped with gonzo.
