Cast of TV Anime 'Beatless' Announced

The official website of the previously announced anime adaptation of Satoshi Hase and redjuice's Beatless novel has revealed cast members for the upcoming series, along with the first preview and a key visual (pictured). The anime is scheduled to air on the Animeism programming block on January 13 at 1:55 a.m. on MBS and TBS, followed by BS-TBS. Amazon will also stream the series through its Amazon Prime Video service.

Lacia: Nao Touyama (Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri)
Kouka: Misako Tomioka (Schoolgirl Strikers: Animation Channel)
Snowdrop: Hiromi Igarashi (Brave Witches)
Saturnus: Shino Shimoji (Seiren)
Methode: Sora Amamiya (Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!)

Noooo, PV looks so mediocre for 2017 and especially since they're starting with redjuice! But I guess I'll watch for dedication even if I see it going down already...

Being honest I wasn't expecting anything to be true to the source's art so I do agree that it doesn't look pleasing. However for Diomedea standards its fine for this artstyle.

Now for the directing its actually decent enough, not gonna lie on that. Looking forward to it of course.

It is really cool how they just throw redjuice design out of the window, and even manged to do trashy animation work with such simple character design in the PV.

Hooray - and I was kinda looking to this anime. After all those years. Nice.

From the PV it doesn't look like that'll be the case, they're going for the generic art style.

Well I'm not expecting it anyway, I'm just hoping that the crucial scenes will be epic like in the picture.
