Second Season of 'Nanatsu no Taizai' Premieres Winter 2018, Theatrical Version Screens 2018

The Nanatsu no Taizai FES event held on Sunday at Yamano Hall, Tokyo has announced that the previously announced second season of the anime is slated to premiere in January 2018. The new series will be titled Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu (The Seven Deadly Sins: Revival of The Commandments). Surprise guest members were also revealed to join the upcoming anime's cast. The announcement was also revealed on the anime's newly updated website.

The event has also revealed that the anime will have a theatrical release slated for Summer 2018. More details will be announced at a later date.

Damn January is too far off, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. I was kinda tempted to read the manga a few times during the past 2 years but I kept putting it off because I really wanted to see it animated instead and I'm glad I waited

It was announced last year that we were getting another sequel.

Yeah, I just checked and you're right, I must've missed that somehow....
I thought that the last annoucement we had was about "Seisen no Shirushi" and a vague promise of another season but nothing more.
