Additional Cast for 'Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - The Animated Series' Announced

The official website for Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World - The Animated Series has announced additional cast for the upcoming anime. The series is scheduled to premiere in Fall 2017.

Cast
Shizu: Yuuichirou Umehara (Amanchu!)
Riku: Kenichirou Matsuda (Clockwork Planet)
Tii: Ayane Sakura (Boku no Hero Academia)
Shishou: Lynn (High School Fleet)
Aibou: Kazuyuki Okitsu (Genshiken Nidaime)

A stage event for the anime will be held at Dengeki Autumn Festival in October 2017.

I mean, the casting of Ti basically negates that reasoning. Shizu and Riku are key players in that story. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised if we got a Colosseum arc either way (I doubt they would find a different way to introduce Shizu as a character).

This news doesn't really say much. As far as the concerns I have for this show, the strength of the supporting cast ranks pretty low.

I'd like to know if this is going to be a direct sequel or a reimagining of the original. Either way, as long as they maintain the understated, thought-provoking nature of the original, I think this series will be a highlight of the season. Does anyone know when the PV will release?

I'm still hyped, but I'm so used to Kino's Journey looking and sounding subtle and understated, or for lack of a better term, low budget. It just fits with the storybook feel of the series, or at least that's the perception that I've grown really accustomed to over the years. Glad to hear that the new season is still moving forward, but I really have no idea what to expect.

The cast seems fine enough. Personally, I just want a trailer to see how the Animation is. Kino was really about exploring different places. And I would love to see those places in the newer animation style.
