And I don't feel like looking further. Oh, and it's not like I'm trying to make a point, I was just curious if I'd be able to find them. :P

You forgot that fantasy furry show (Rokka something) with the white bunny ears and the really repulsively GIF-bait one with the girl with the string under her tits. Utawarerumono, while one of the few examples of good settings in this bracket, must be mentioned. Even KyoAni's been doing it (RIP) with Musaigen no Bland World and Amagi Brilliant Creative Bankruptcy. (Which is a good indication that it's time to stop)

And even among shows outside of this dogma, there are plenty polluted by elements of it. Probably the most joyless of the low-hanging fruits producers keep reaching for, I'd happily trade it for sports shounen, unironic unsupported harems, hell, I'd trade this shit for yaoi.

Because I know I can't stand those things and have no problem ignoring them. But No Game No Life and Hataraku Maou-Sama have shown that I CAN actually like this troll garbage fantasy sometimes, so I keep trying them like heroin past its expiration date on a slim chance that it's got something worth a damn to watch it for.

I should say, regarding the show in question, (on-topic for once) it looks sufficiently bad that I won't feel an urge to check it out. Thank heavens!

Um....which one is the gif-bait anime? I want to know....for research. Yeah, need to be as thoroughly disgusted.

Also, I've read the first couple light novel volumes for this and it really doesn't remind me of KonoSuba much at all. Other than it being Isekai. Less humor than Konosuba, the MC is obscenely OP as opposed to being used for humor. Konosuba is very much the superior story, but I did enjoy Isekai wa smartphone too. You just really need to be on board for an OP MC (and not in a fun satire fashion like Saitama).

Uh as some people have said to you... THOSE aren't really Isekai anime. They aren't. Some of them are just fantasy alone :/

Yeah I get it now, thanks #3

Anyway, I don't really care how the protagonist got there, all I know is the samey-whitewashed fantasy setting is the #1 thing I'm sick of. They all share the same tropes so they're all the same to me "isekai" or not.

And that's fine, I'm not trying to start an argument here (nor intend to, had too much BS this morning with something on twitter to go and argue anymore).

But we're just pointing it out what you mentioned that's all.

As previously said, those aren't isekai. In isekai you have to have a character from one world enter another one. If I were to include plain fantasy world anime like you listed, I would get a list of at least several dozen titles.

So they're making the male be voiced by a female again just like gamers. Fuck this shit, dropped. Do Japanese males in their teens sound like someone hung their balls from a hook or something?
Actually, Katsumi Fukuhara is a male (junior talent). The reason I listed Sarusuberi is that's the only anime related role for him right now from the profile (fairly new), which he probably did very small role from that movie.

Oh, well then that's great. Might check it out then. I saw Katsumi and immediately thought it was female.

xD well, there aren't that many if you mean BELOW 2015 or something if you know what I mean. :S (I'm still sleepy as hell so processing the ones from the past 5 years with my mind boggled... not so pretty xS)

But honestly, ANY setting can be considered as overused later on right? Heck, the "school setting" can be considered as that. Or well... specifically "battle harem school setting" to say (which isn't very apparent recently).
