TV Anime 'Fate/Extra Last Encore' Announces Staff Members

The official website of Fate/Extra Last Encore has revealed staff members, a new preview, along with a key visual for the upcoming TV anime. The series is slated to air "next Winter."

Yesss I can't wait for Saber Nero to finally get animated. I was sad when I know Fate/Extra got cancelled in Carnival Phantasm. I don't care about FSN and its boring sequels. Just give me Extra, CCC, and possibly Extella adaptation (づ￣﹃￣)づ

The cameo Nero got in Carnival Phantasm kinda surprised me when I first saw it because while I wasn't a die-hard fan of Fate, I had been following Robina's FFXI fanart on his blog since 2006 and on through when he started work on the Fate/Extra manga, so I recognized her instantly and thought it was pretty cool. I was kind of sad that the FFXI art started slowing down, though.

That's because only male one has an entry because he appeared in a non-canon manga spin off. I am sure once it is confirmed for sure it will get added.

Yet they don't really add characters until they have been confirmed, the male mc has been addeded since the first announcement of the anime.

They keep saying female mc on here, but its still says the master is male on the character list, the female one might just be a cameo. Personally I want the male master cause I played as him in the game

I totally forgot about this. So that Saber clone really did get a show of her own. Seeing it's Shinbou that's directing I'm totally hyped for this.

The thing is that, since this came just before the winter season starts, "next winter" would typically mean January 2018. Not only are we already in the winter 2017 season at the time most people are seeing the announcement, but it's far too late to announce a new anime about to start airing within no more than a few weeks.

If they're saying "winter," the only logical conclusion is for it to start in January of 2018.

Because it wont make sense to announce it just a few days before it is airing and with no specific release date yet plus the director was just working on one of 3-gatsu episodes and Kizu II as unit director so no time for him to direct a TV series.

I'm pretty certain he's a full-time employee of shaft or might as well be because he works on ALL their shows.

Shaft>>>>ufotable when it comes to visuals. Ufotable's sakuga animation isn't even that impressive (definitely above average but that isn't a very high bar to set) and while shaft is a bit more sparse on fluid animation, there are a lot of cuts in shaft shows that are very vivid in my mind. Episode 8 and 15 of bakemonogatari have better animation in them than ufotable ever will.

Not necessarily. If I'm not mistaken, the anime will be a new story rather than a direct adaptation of the game, so they're probably not going to follow either of these routes in the strict sense.
