They've only covered about 9 volumes of the manga. (Currently there 19 volumes) they already have more than enough material for a second season.

Great news, really looking forward to this, the show really has a great cast and a lot of likable characters.

Plus football is always hype, hope the sequel is 24 or more episodes as well.

Fun fact:

MAPPA (assuming studio is still the same) has at least 4 projects on their hands now. Idk how to feel about this but good for the fans.

5 projects if we assume the new Garo anime will also be animated by them.

Really liking the 2nd half so far, 1 episode to go...but I can understand why a lot of people dropped this halfway through. Heard it's really popular in Japan though?

Heh? This crap got a sequel? Did it became good after episode 12?
I dropped it mid-way since it's getting boring.
Damn sports anime, always getting sequels even if it's a trash.

Wew, it was surprisingly good and exceeded my expectations. Plus, more sports anime can't be a bad thing.

The disc sales weren't anything to write home about.

Goes to show there is much more to anime financing than those numbers.

That's pretty cool, I like the show. If they only improve the match presentation , It'll be way better. Hoping the second season does this.

Show had strange pacing, wonder if it was always intended to be a split cour or a longer running show. Might as well continue...

Even if you asked me why I liked Days, I would not be able to give you a proper answer. But I have been following it religiously like I did with Haikyuu last 2014 and I've grown ridiculously attached to it, and with it ending this Sunday, the despair was starting to kick in.

....Then this news showed up on Twitter and saved my entire 2016. Bless you, bless MAPPA. TT-TT

Good news!! Looking forward to it but I am just wondering since the 1st season has almost caught up with the manga... but anyway! so happy that there is a sequel!

How much volumes did the First season cover? I expect this to be Fall 2017 or Winter 2018, I hope it's as intense as the final game in the first season

I honestly didn't expect this to get a sequel, so I'm a bit surprised.

It's somewhat enjoyable, so I guess I'll stick around for more.
