The April 2016 issue of Bessatsu Friend magazine, which will go on sale on March 12, has announced a TV anime adaptation of the romance comedy manga Watashi ga Motete Dousunda.

The series drawn by Junko has been publishing since 2013 and currently has seven volumes in print. It placed fourth in the 2015 rankings of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga is Amazing!) among female readers. The series has also been published by Kodansha Comics USA since October under the English title Kiss Him, Not Me, which was selected through a reader contest held on Crunchyroll.

Synopsis
Kae Serinuma is a second year high schooler and an avid fujoshi who secretly ships her classmates, Igarashi-kun and Nanashima-kun. The death of her favorite anime character causes her to become stressed—and loses weight rapidly. Now that Serinuma has become an attractive girl to her classmates, her snarky kouhai Shinomiya-kun, and her senpai Mutsumi, how is she going to deal with them ...with her constant BL-filled, fujoshi mind?!

Oh god why.

Peach Girl was such a terrible show. Don't know if that was because of the source material or not, but it already raises red flags for me.

At least there's Michiko Yokote, She can adapt things really well.

I hope that this manga gets adapted well, since I've enjoyed what I read of the source material.

not a big fan of reverse harem genre though it doesnt look like it will probably be focusing more on the comedy side than the romance, going to check this out.

The manga is more of a parody of the reverse harem genre and female anime fans in general. The main girl spend most of her time shipping her harem lol. Really fun to read if you ask me.

I sort of hoped that the reason why Junko started making shoujo manga so that she can spread all that homo-ness in other mediums like anime. You go girl! <3

This is the type of anime the shoujo and reverse harem genres really need...cutesy shoujo with a refreshing twist.
I'm still in relative shock that we're getting an adaptation of a high school shoujo series that actually has a cute, quirky fujoshi MC.
Also, Brains Base is adapting??
Sign me up!

I've only read the first vol of the manga, and I thought it was pretty great, so I'm hyped to see it in anime form...I'll get to the rest of the manga at a later date ^^

Meh, as much as I like Junko, I'm passing on this. I don't really like reverse harem-y anime and the fujoshi aspect doesn't help nor appeal to me at all. But I guess she was smart to make it since bl mangaka's are most likely only gonna get their non-bl manga adapted into anime. Ex. Kumota Haruko, Ono Natsume, previously Abe Miyuki where I'm sort of surprised Super Lovers got adapted.

More like its the year of comedy!! hahahaha I am too excited. Always wanted to read this since I came across it because the premise sounded so silly and hilarious but never came round to it. Now that its getting an anime I will watch the anime first then carry on with the manga after. Shoujo comedies are to death hilarious and such a ride! Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun, Gugure Kokkuri San, Ouran High School Host Club are fine examples of that. 100% looking forward to this

The drama CD cast though.
Gonna check this one out for sure even if the cast is different.

OMGGGGGGGGGGG OMFG!!! I'm overacting way too much!!!!! This was the first manga that I ever saw/read.. Though it was ridiculously weird I can't help it but be excited about it being animated.. I just hope it doesn't become a 4-5 minute adaptation.. Oh plsssss let it be 13x24min+

No, it's just a Shoujo manga that Fujoshis also like because the author specializes in BL manga. She's more of a fangirl imo

Yeah, there's barely any romance, just like Ouran.
