I actually really enjoyed 'How I Attended an All-Guys’ Mixer' but I will also admit that I totally get if it’s not everyone’s thing – I wouldn’t be surprised if most people called it kind of mediocre or a bit boring — but I still liked it a lot, not gonna lie (,,>﹏<,,) Even I was surprised, since I’m usually not a big fan of those romance animes that lean on constant miscommunication (you never know when they’ll appear...), but I think they did a great job balancing the funny and genuinely sweet moments! So I hope you’ll enjoy it when you get around to it – but don't worry if it doesn't seem all that interesting to you either c^v^

recently I've been totally obsessed with Kusuriya no Hitorigoto - Maomao is just incredible and the mystery elements keep me hooked! and Im watching Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku which is such a beautiful slice of life romance (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) what about you? what's been your latest anime addiction? always love hearing what people are into!

ah yeah, pandemic gaming sounds super fun :') i played a lot of stardew valley during the pandemic now that i think about it.

Pandemic gaming really was the golden age to be gaming. All my friends hopped back on just like old times. :,)

i was thinking about looking into watching the fan edited one pace version of one piece, since it cuts out a lot of filler etc. i think it'll literally save me half the time if i try catch up with the anime. i'm excited about that remake that was announced, hopefully that starts soon...?

Not sure how soon, but it's very much in development. The "One Pace" will cut a big chunk of excess "filler" episodes, so it's more streamlined and not meandering as much as the original version.
Oh, so you have dabbled in One Piece before, but just forgot about all the story beats.

the exorcism concert in dandadan was SO GOOD, honestly blew my expectations out of the water.

The part was SO GOOOD that I literally rewatched that part alone that moment I finished the whole episode afterwards! 🔥🔥🔥

i'm loving fragrant flower as well!!! i had faith in it, given how great the trailers looked and how hyped the manga is, and it hasn't disappointed at all. it just does the romance and friendships so well (in less than 12 eps so far), i think it's already my favourite romance anime out of the ones i've watched.

I'm glad you're also loving it! I personally think the reason I quite like this romance show is because the main characters aren't dumb af compared to your typical high school romance show.
The characters are treated in a way that doesn't wanna make you facepalm your forehead at the end of the day.lol
I'll wait until the first season finishes until I give a better explanation on my personal side to why it's one of the best high school romance shows anime has to offer.

lol what would your recommendation be for something to make me cry :') i think i've watched most of the major ones but there's a few i've heard of that i have yet to get around to (can't think off the top of my head though. last one i checked off was violet evergarden)

Avatar: The Last Airbender is a leagues on its own. Story telling, world building, enticing characters from both protagonists/ antagonists side, the pacing (I think was perfect) , and that LAST EPISODE!!!!!! 😍😍😍😍😍 THAT'S HOW YOU WRAPPED A SHOW!!! Had the biggest smile when the producers made their kiss the very last scene. :,)

Totally agree. Especially there's more anime shows getting released, it just gets more
difficult to catch up on certain new shows, and classics! I would like to watch more old school shows,
but there's so much new ones right now that I'm watching. Not that it's a bad thing. XD

it's funny because i think the pandemic was when a lot of people actually got into anime. but it seems like you and i were on an anime break :') i don't really know what i was doing at that time, i think i probably watched more western shows or kdrama.

While you were probably watching kdrama and western shows, that was the peak of me and my friends gaming nonstop, since covid obviously brought the whole world to a standstill. To Among Us, COD, and other minigames, I played a lot of them.

It's such a big task, if you want to catch up on One Piece!
Was it worth if for me to invest that much time? Absolutely. XD

this summer 2025 season is amazing!! i'm watching like 40 shows HAHAHAHA it's the most i've ever done (i used to watch less than 5 shows on a good season, if any at all). i think the main reason that helped is that i finally got a crunchyroll subscription, so everything's just a lot easier to access now. i can't even pick a solid top 10 since there's a lot that i enjoy!

i think my number one (for summer 2025), which is a bit of a surprise to me, is the summer hikaru died! i think it's just so up my alley and has been adapted beautifully (i read the manga but i didn't expect the anime to hit me so hard in comparison). i thought dandadan s2 would be my clear number one since season 1 was amazing, and season 2 has my favourite bits in the manga, and i've still loved s2 a lot so it's my #2 of the season.

The summer Hikaru Died is proving to be a stand out for me as well! I did not expect to be watching a horror/thriller? anime in a summer lineup!
DandaDan is knocking it out of the baseball park this season. There's a couple of memorable episodes, like the concert one or the classical villains where they had to face off! :O

My personal pick would be The Fragrant Flowers Bloom with Dignity. I think it's a refreshing high school romance anime that stands a bit higher than other romance shows in that genre personally.

but i didn't watch much anime from about 2018-2024, i mostly watched a lot when i was in high school and then only kept up with ongoing series or started new big name ones like demon slayer etc.

I kid you not, but it's the exact same thing for me as well-ish! XD
I took a break from 2019-2023 watching anime, and started watching anime again just last year!
One Piece was the one the hooked me back to watching anime all over again. :)
And yes. That's also what I've been doing, since last year.
Just trying to catch up to whatever is the popular shows the past years has come out.

High key though, this summer 2025 is most likely the most stacked season I've ever seen, ever since I started watching anime!
I'm legit watching 10 summer shows right now. DX
