Manga 'Kekkai Sensen' Gets New OVA Adaptation

The Winter 2016 issue of Jump SQ.Crown magazine (pictured), which will go on sale on January 22, has announced that Yasuhiro Nightow's supernatural action manga Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront) will receive an OVA episode.

The episode, titled "Ousama no Restaurant no Ousama," will be released on June 3, 2016, with the Kekkai Sensen guide book titled Blood Blockade Battlefront Binge Bible. It adapts a story from the eighth volume of the manga. Rie Matsumoto returns to direct the episode, which will be animated by studio Bones. It has an estimated running time of 25 minutes.

A TV anime adaptation of the manga began airing in April 2015. The final episode of the series, which had been scheduled for July, was delayed and eventually aired in October.

Most people just liked it for its animation and the characters that seemed interesting but we're just not well fleshed out copies of the original characters in the manga

Yeah, its from 20th chapter (i think its seriously a super comedy since BONES deciide to make it an ova). I don't think the new character is the king, i think its more to nickname people gave him. but i think there is a hint in this episode which that restaurant king is related to a person that are possesed by another king. Bones will do many things to make the story become super interesting, so there's a chance the other king will be introduced. Oh yeah, I expect s2 aired on this fall or next winter since the last episode aired last fall. Do you wanna read more about something in kekkai sensen? read #265 , i think (its me)

Its follow the manga, but its only add some filler. This anime kinda popular in japan. sorry to say,there is some anime which require a person with higher IQ to watch it, so they can understand what happened very well. if you personally don't like it, so its nevermind

I absolutely loved Kekkai Sensen, my favorite anime of 2015 and one of my top 3 anime ever without a doubt and I'm really glad we will get an OVA but to be honest I'm not sure I want a second season, I mean, what if it turns out to be trash? It would be Hamatora all over again! but luckily Rie Matsumoto is involved, so I'm in, it doesn't matter what it is, I'm sure she will do a wonderful job.

This is welcome. hopefully we will get a 2nd season as this show was drippigng in style but was only held back by its short length hat didnt let it really sink in.

still the first time they attempt to do that much and Noragami already had some problems albeit small.

the first time they did this was worse because they were doing 5 shows all at once with high budgets, this year seems a bit more laid back especially since its looking like very show is only 1 cour in 2016 for them.
