'Kekkai Sensen' Gets Second Season for 2017

The January 2017 issue of Jump SQ magazine, which goes on sale on December 2, has revealed that Kekkai Sensen (Blood Blockade Battlefront) will be getting a second season. Titled Kekkai Sensen & BEYOND, it is slated for 2017. The director of the second season will be Shigehito Takayanagi (Dagashi Kashi) while Yasuko Kamo (Tokyo ESP) will be in charge of the script. The cast members and the rest of the staff will reprise their roles.

The first season aired for a total of 12 episodes between April and October 2015. The series adapts the manga drawn by Yasuhiro Nightow. There have been ten volumes published between January 2009 and February 2015. A sequel series began publishing in July 2015 titled Kekkai Sensen: Back 2 Back.

I really did like this show, although the pacing was a bit slow so the epicness never got a chance to reel you in…I hope the second season brings out more of that and has less of the laid-back feeling

I´ll be honest, i didnt like very much the anime... I dont know if i was very distracted while watching...because, the story was confused, bad characters, bad graphism

I dont think that this second season will be good

the first season was shit imo.
freaked out when I heard that this is getting a second season,
not looking forward to it, but I hope it's at least better than the first season.
just gonna give this a try.

Well duh. He watched an adaptation of a game he already hates from a studio he absolutely abhors just so he could rant in every episode discussion of how horrible it is. If that made him watch it, then I see no reason for him to not watch this considering he adores the series so much.

Suddenly I have no motivation to watch this.

Looking at his roster, I'm crossing my fingers the directing will be more like TWGOK 2 and nothing like his piece of trash recent works.

yeah I now. What's the big deal the new director worked on episodes of Trigun so he understands nightow yasuhiro's manga work already. The same thing with Drifters
