'Hibike! Euphonium' Anime Sequel and Movie Announced

Kyoto Animation announced at the KyoAni & Do Fan Days 2015 event and via the official Twitter of Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium) that the series will be receiving a movie and a sequel TV anime.

Based on the novel series written by Ayano Takeda, the series received a 13-episode anime adaptation in Spring 2015 by Kyoto Animation. The first Blu-ray and DVD volume charted in Oricon's weekly rankings in its first week, selling 5,683 and 872 copies, respectively. In addition to the anime adaptation, the series also received a manga adaptation that began publishing in November 2014.

don't see the point in the manga (or novel) as much since the music is half the reason i love it.

I was expecting this, but to see it finally confirmed makes me ecstatic! Euhponium was a show that had an huge impact on me emotionally and its easily my favorite show this year. Hoping Yamada can return as series director and work her magic like she did with the first season.

Oh god!! I enjoyed this show for the story, but mostly for the yuri between Kumiko and Reina!! That's all I'm waiting for! Let's aim for a wedding movie *o*
