'Hibike! Euphonium' Blu-ray Includes Special Episode

It was revealed on the official site that Hibike! Euphonium (Sound! Euphonium) will be receiving a special episode. The episode, titled "Kakedasu Monaka" (Running Monaka), will be bundled with the seventh Blu-ray and DVD volume on December 16, 2015.

Hibike! Euphonium is an adaptation of the novel series written by Ayano Takeda. Kyoto Animation produced the 13-episode television series, which aired in Spring 2015. The official site also streamed a preview of the special episode.

AFAIK, KyoAni have only ever once done the beach/ pool/ onsen OVA cliché, and that was for Hyouka. Not counting Free of course because, well, duh.

They also did it once for Amagi Brilliant Park but I think that's it? (Also I'd question why one would really get the idea that this is a swimming/beach OVA going off of the PV...)

Extra BD episodes are pretty much a KyoAni staple, pretty much every single one of their recent anime do this.

Though I am excited for more of this show though.

In this anime, I was shipping Hazuki x Suuichi.... but then he rejected her when she confessed to him, and then I didnt enjoy the rest of the anime.

By looking at the preview of this special episode, it looks like the two of them will have some scenes together, so thats good and because of that, Ill watch it.... I just hope that its not Hazuki playing cupid for Suiichi and the female MC because I hate it when animes do that.

To those curious, the "monaka" in the episode title is the traditional sweet from which they derived the shape of the gifts they prepared for the ones who made it in the competition.
