Manga Time Kirara Announces 'Sansha Sanyou' Anime Adaptation

The October issue of Manga Time Kirara, which goes on sale on September 9, has announced that the 4-koma comedy manga Sansha Sanyou will be adapted into an anime.

The manga, written and illustrated by Cherry Arai, has been serialized since the February 2003 issue of the magazine and is currently its longest-running series. Another manga series by Arai, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei, was adapted into a TV anime in 2014.

Synopsis
Futaba Odagiri is the new transfer student with a super energetic personality; Teru Hayama is the class president with a surprisingly mean personality contrary to her innocent looks; and Youko Nishikawa is from a formerly rich, now extremely poor family who still holds on to her princess attitude. These three unlikely students with clashing personalities become good friends and survive the day-to-day teenage life in a very funny story. (Source: MangaHelpers)

Another one? Really? The only possible saving grace is that the author did Engaged To The Unidentified too. This might be as good as that, but I seriously doubt it.

I've watched Mikakunin before, it was hilarious. Since it is made by the same author, definitely watching it, more slice of life anime is coming in.

Don't see why the amount of content should matter, what are they going to do? Make like 10 2-minutes episodes and put them all together to make a normal episode? 4komas are usually either short or have content added to them, the fact that it's old changes little.

Shorts are usually originals or have limited source material.
