A scan from the August issue of Manga Time Kirara Forward revealed that an animated TV adaptation of manga Anne Happy♪ has been green-lit. There are currently three volumes, with the fourth to debut on July 13. The series is created by Cotoji and debuted in December 2012.

The story centers around class 1-7 of Tennogofune Academy, where all the students with "bad karma" or misfortune seem to have been gathered. Hibari, a student in this class, meets the unlucky Hanako and the perennially unhealthy Botan on her first day of school, and together they try to find a way to turn their school life into a happy one. Will PTW for interesting synopsis. I like SoL-ish shows where the characters just try to be happy and optimistic, very relaxing.

At first, I thought this might be good but, now, that everyone keeps calling it moe anime, I'm not so sure anymore. Does anyone know more about the story if any? If not, I'll wait until it finishes airing to see if it's worth picking up.

It is a seinen yes!

Sounds like a totally NOT cliche moe show. Gonna watch it.

Looks like an all-female cast so I'm going to skip this one. Really sick of those.

It's a seinen :O
It's gonna be way better than your average moe/slice of life series.
The new age is upon us.

Hate to break it to you, but 'seinen' is the most often mislabeled-by-MAL before something comes out. Kekkai Sensen for example had the Seinen tag like 4 weeks into release.

In this case it's not miss labelled. The problem is idiots who don't understand the difference between a demographic and a genre. As others have said Moe SOL are almost exclusively published in seinen magazines.

Premise looks kinda neat. Too bad we're already getting the shit slung at it just because of the damn cover.

Sounds cute. I've enjoyed other Manga Time Kirara Forward series, so I'll keep on eye on this one.

Do people STILL misinterpret seinen as 'adult and dark' or something? You do realize K-On is a seinen, righht?

Some people should really know better.

A large proportion of series that some people brand as "moe" (though personally I really don't like the idea of using that word to describe a series) come from the Manga Time Kirara family of magazines, which this one does as well.

Then again, it's Manga Time Kirara Forward, which tends to deviate away from the usual light-hearted CGDCT comedy/yuri-romance series that make up a large proportion of the other Manga Time Kirara magazines (series published in Forward with anime adaptations include Yumekui Merry, Hanayamata and Gakkou Gurashi).

Doesn't sound that special, but I'll watch it, anyway.
