It was announced that the English essay Sushi and Beyond: What the Japanese Know About Cooking
by Michael Booth will get a TV anime. The series will air on both NHK General and NHK World in a 20-minute time slot, beginning on April 16th and 12th, respectively.

), is directing the series. The animation is being handled by Fanworks and a key visual

The story follows the author and his family on their 100-day trip to Japan, during which they try a variety of Japanese cuisine. Originally published in 2010, the book was translated into Japanese in April 2013 under the title Eikoku Ikka, Nihon wo Taberu
(British family, eats Japanese
). This title will also be the running Japanese title for the anime.
