I know OP is the best selling manga.

But SnK also sells like hotcakes. This is the first time I compare the two in weekly sales and I guess I was just surprised that OP passed SnK even though SnK had a 2 week(?) head start.

You forgot that SnK has limited edition which sold around 350k so SnK vol.14 currently surpass 2m and this week One Piece didn't pass 2m. so One Piece is not outsell SnK in one week.

But I don't deny One Piece is bigger than SnK and next week it will undoubtly surprass. I'm just point out that One Piece didn't outsell SnK within one week though.
OH RIGHT!
Okay that makes sense then. How did I forget that?
Actually I blame you Kera you should have remembered that -_-

One piece installed base is bigger than attack on titan. a one piece volume sells around 3 million, while attack on titan would sell around 2 million. One piece is still the biggest manga product in Japan. I don't think anyone could deny that, or should be surprise by this.

Can't believe SAO LN is doing so well... My friend always tells me that the LN is better than the anime, and that I should read it, but I don't know if I want to...

I wonder what the plot is even about now, after GGO it went so insane that I'm not even sure what's going on anymore, judging from plot synopses.

way to go, tokyo ghoul!

i bet there will be another sale boost when anime hit the cliffhanger ending.

Sep 11, 2014 6:11 AM by Urek

One piece! Good story + Great popularity + Sabo Magic = volume 75

Sep 11, 2014 6:01 AM by Shiroyume36

That's why I said "If you count media works bunko sales as LN sales"
Which MAL usually do. Media works bunko is a case of
"they say they aren't publishing LN, but what they're publishing looks like a LN, sounds like a LN and smells like LN~" kind of stuff. That's why lots of places usually add their sales to the LN sales list.

There is no new lN on the whole oricon chart this week, so leading on the LN board isn't anything great ImO.

SAO LN is always on top, it's sales are so "overpowered" compared to other light novels...

If you count media works bunko sales, SAO volumes aren't the LN volumes selling the most those last few years, as biblia koshodou is above, though.

Biblia isn't considered a light novel by Oricon though. It was absent from the 2014 Half-Yearly Top 30 Light Novel volumes. Biblia Vol.5 sold 521,217 in the period of 2013/11/18~2014/05/18, but the Top selling light novel volume for that period was Kagerou Days Vol.5 at 330,936.

MAL just translated the Bunko list for the Half-Yearly Rankings, when there was an actual Light Novel list available. They also missed out on a light novel in the process... No Game No Life Vol.6 at 69,983.

Looks like the anime is helping out the Tokyo Ghoul Manga nicely. It would be better to end it in a cliff hanger rather than rush the series.

How many consecutive weeks does it make for SAO being in the top now?

One. Hidan no Aria was above it last week.

It's the first thing to be on the top of the light novel ranks for 4 weeks in total since Juuni Kokuki Hishi no Tori in June/July last year, though.

Bleach on 2...Looks like Japan likes the new gross version.

shougeki no sama selling more then toriko? this is bs, it just proves that japanese take fanservice over quality

Don't even dare to look don't on Shokugeki no Souma. They toned down the Fanservice a since the Autumn Election.

AoT got a temporary boost to its sales because almost all the volumes got sold at once. It's only natural for OP to slowly regain its throne.
