Read carefully, 4 K after 4 months (16 weeks), vol 19 is that much down after 2 months now add 2 more and you will get to about 4 K.
I'm talking about Shogakukan btw, the other ones match up.

I always find it hilarious, how ignorant you are regarding the benefit of the ''horrible'' Toei anime. The anime is the reason Toriko got popular, it was heavily advertised thanks to it, and it showed, when Toriko got 4 million after the anime debut, in that year.
The problem doesn't seem to be with the anime, it's with the manga, despite the heavy advertisement from Jump of Toriko as the next long running manga, it's still haven't been able to live that, and is not consistent in sales, and series like AssClass sell better without an anime.
did you even see the anime? as a big toriko fan, i can say its horse shit, they censor everything, add filler characters in the story, animation is so bad, and they even gave it a filler ending. if they wanted to promote it, they should have given a good adoptation, there is nothing wrong with the manga
