Tomino Yoshiyuki Announces Gundam UC Movie [Confirmed]

Tomino Yoshiyuki was invited to the Conference of Cartoons on The Bays held in Italy and announced a movie of "Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn". It will be premiered in 2010.

I've been waiting on for a return to the UC timeline for quite sometime now. Perfect timing as well, the 30th ann. is this year. I just hope Tominio decides to get behind the directors chair for this one. That would be epic.

If it's a movie is it gonna be a series of movies or just one cause i wanna watch it but i want to know if theres gonna be more then one cause i love gundam but never finish a series besides 00.

I hope for the world wide release to go through cause i don't wanna watch online.

I guess Gundam UC movie will be premiered in December in Japan. The previous announcement in Italy meant the worldwide release.

According to the cove note of Gundam Unicorn novel, the anime will be released in the winter of 2009.

It contradicts the previous announcement in Italy.
Interpretations:
1. There are both TV series and movie.
2. 2009 means fiscal year 2009 (till Mar 2010).
3. a change in the schedule
4. released this year in Japan followed by the worldwide release next year

Total agree with the 00 stuff (both seasons = failure IMO)

well here you are confusing stuff :E

Unicorn is "flashy" as in the sense that its an eyecandy design-wise. There's literally nothing that "connects" me to the designs, apart of them being pretty.

Unicorn is basically just that. A fanservice for UC mecha fans, with VERY light and "meh" plotline.

If Tomino would direct a new UC movie - thats alright. Base it on that upcomming game or something. Or let him create new storyline - If The Man agreed to even be a part of project , he would agree to create a story for it alright . Heck I would LOVE to see some epic side stories fitting into UC storyline or something new there

But its all clear in the current situation - Tomino is just a "name" in project.
A bait. To buy buy buy the movie, "novel" and the model kits again and again.

Yes I will surely watch that movie for stuff blowing up. But I do not expect the quality of Zeta or Turn A. I will be happy if it beats ZZ.

I loved the UC to death , and Im furiously salivating at the idea of Unicorn into movie.
I Know of Unicorn only what I read people say about it , so I don't know about a story substance , where are you getting that from ? I mean , have you actually read the novel ? or just hatin' on Full Frontal and the Bust mode of the Unicorn ? I'm assuming you did right , because otherwise that would be baseless bashing.

Well, In this case only the cover looks great(mecha designs) :P

I have nothing against the mecha designs - they ARE great.

However the plot, well, Ill stop at that, however I will stay by my own opinion UC is worth more than flashy mechas with no story substance with occasional revival of Char. Even that one where they had the clone of Char was more enjoyable than this.

It will be a "good movie" for those who want to see big mecha blowing up stuff in shiny hd, but it won't be a good movie for those who loved UC. Not because of mecha, but because of ideas, the heart, the spirit, the style, everything.

Its still a "fanfiction" level work worth something only because of mecha designs.

Fanfiction is a piece of work made by a fan who doesn't aim to make any money from it and does not have permission from the original creator to make such a work, Unicorn is clearly a franchise in which they sell novels, books and Gundam Models kits, and now there's going to be a movie, all of which to make money off from. All of which is distributed and handled by Sunrise, who are the legal owners of the Gundam franchise.

I call you a troll because you talk shit, you don't even know how to differentiate fanfiction from a franchise.

You're opinion is worthless as you probably have never read the novels.
