Original Anime 'Minarai Diva' Announced to Air Summer 2014

As a part of Nippon Housou Announcer Hisanori Yoshida's animation project, Minarai Diva has been announced to air Summer 2014. The anime is a "live broadcast anime" and will use motion capture technology to render the characters and movements with MMD style software. According to the official website, it will air on the smartphone channel/app NOTTV and other (as of yet) unannounced channels. Each episode will be 60 minutes.

Mo-cap not rotoscoped. I suspect this will not appeal to western audiences as it will be like one of those random idol tv shows where they just burble on. Still .. it's an interesting idea.

Oddly enough Aku no Hana was successful! Sure not in disk sales but the manga got a nice boost.

There's only one "kou", not two. It's just a different way to write his real name 石館, 光太郎 that he's using.
So Ishidate Koutarou indeed.

Interesting concept. I wonder if this will lead to a new trend in anime or if this will just disapear without any follow up.
