Almost forgot about this manga. Dropped it about 3-4 years ago because the extreme power-up each characters undergo and the rash of darker plot seemed pretty ridiculous for a manga that supposedly started out laid back and humorous (Or perhaps i was just tired with shounen-esque hijinks, i dunno). Katekyo Hitman Reborn also suffered from the same thing, but that one still managed to retain its sense of humor throughout the series (which kept me entertained till the end) unlike this one did.

Nah whatever. Perhaps i'll just have to marathon the entire thing now that it's ending soon.

I'm an avid fan of the series, but this manga needs to end. This final battle -_-

I think so too, yes. There is enough potential for a good story.
But maybe Ikeda will make a epilog in the last chapter to resolve most of it.

This was the first manga I started reading so I'm a little sad it's coming to an end. :)

You think they'll make a season III to finish off their 3rd year?

Did the anime stay true to the manga? Not that I remember it 100% since it has been so long.. but I think I would want to start the manga where the anime left off

Not even close to the manga, Anime was frankly god awful.

That's not entirely true. The anime mostly followed the first series of the manga and some of the 2nd season of the manga, if I recall.

The first season did to some extent. However it changed the order of somethings, but most of all changed the ending. Second season literally had nothing to do with the manga, aside from introducing Cocoa.
They even made up the third dark lord.

I guess it's time for me to pick this one up. It has been like 5 or 6 years since I dropped it because of a month(Or two?) per chapter.

I guess the vampire craze really is dying.

Nope....there is still a lot to do. I want Tsukune and Moka graduate together from high school AND see how Tsukune's parents would react to his change their future daughter-in-law being a vampire. Maybe there will be R+V, Season 3. LOL

Exactly what I think about it too. With all that left there is now way it will end with season two....hopefully :-)

I've watched both season of the anime and have read part of the manga. judging from most manga readers, i think there should be a reboot of the R+V series with the actual manga story (like FMA BH)

It's still amazing of how a generic harem became a pretty great battle shonen. I hope it's not the end yet though.

I need to catch up with the manga. D:

IMO: The anime barely followed the manga. At most they put the same characters in a highschool to act out fillers. Huge plot points in the manga were not added into the anime.

Say what?! I just got back into reading season 2 last night.

Mooookkkaaa!!! D:

If it has a harem ending I will be absolutely livid.
Didn't you read the latest chapter? The chance of harem end hapen after that is close to zero.

They just nitpick the chapter to be adapted. It didn't follow any chronological order of the manga. Moreover they didn't even adapt chapter that showing character growth.

I totally forgot that we are still in 2013 until I saw this. Sh*t!
Another manga is ending ._.

Time to watch the anime and see if its worth to read the manga :x
