"Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai" will reach the story's climax with the 11th volume. The first novel was published in 2010 and the light novel series was adapted into a manga and animated series during its serialization.

"Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai" is the first light novel series written by Tachibana Pan that was directed toward a broad audience. Aside from being a new novelist, Tachibana Pan is most known for being a scenario writer for adult video games, so his light novels also contain ecchi elements within the story. Beginning with the "Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai" series, he plans on furthering his work in writing.

The final volume of "Dakara Boku wa, H ga Dekinai" will be published on August 20th, and Tachibana Pan's newest light novel, "Masochistic Ecstasy", will begin on the 25th.

I dunno about the LN. But i pretty much disliked the anime adaptation. Not because of fanservices/harem cliches, but its horrendous plot and terrible pacing which left me with big WTF face on each episodes. I liked the series better when it still focused solely on comedy/over the top silliness, but the fact that it tried too hard to become full blown action on later epsiodes is just cringeworthy for me.

The manga adaptation side story "Dakara Boku Wa, H Ga Dekinai - Caesar no Bonno" "So I can't Play H - Caesar's Desires" also ended this month. Volume 3 which just came out on August 12th was the final one. Caesar is Ryosuke's dog.

You're right about the anime, but I doubt the LN is that bad. Haven't read it myself, but the manga adaption is infinitely better than the anime.

Not sure if I want to read the LN or not but might pick it up later. Can't judge a series just cause of the anime.

Even masterpieces must come to an end, in this case Dakara will leave a legacy in terms of characterization, social commentary and writing innovation behind. It's influence on the whole industry will remain even it reaches it's conclusion.

I'm not really hyped by the anime anyway.

All this talk about predictable couple makes me want to promote Chikan Otoko since it's such a masterpiece and yet so underrated. Sad that it's a doujin and will never be animated...

I say you have it backwards: don't judge the source material by an adaptation, either the anime or the manga. The original is usually best and that is the case with the novels here as well.

Some 4-koma manga anime adaptations are better but never novels IMO.

Well at least it's a novel not a manga.

That's what I don't like about those kinds of novels. You just know right from the start who's going to win and all the tension gets lost fairly quickly.
I know this is true and yet somehow I always got caught up in it and it feels tense for me anyway... even though I know how they will end every time!

But it is the journey that is fun. You can read the last pages of the last novel to find out who wins but you miss all the scenery, comedy, excitement all along the way.

So this one is ending as well.

Of course, the novels were nowhere near finished at that time so it...

Will see how novel 11 ends in a few weeks I guess... Though Japanese novels usually end with the predictable couple. I can't remember the last time I was surprised at the very end though they usually pull a few tricks to make me think they willl... and then they don't, the original couple is almost always together at the end.

Really? so they weren't ever deciding to continue adapting the rest of the volumes. I thought the anime ending was the best thing about it, usually it just drags when it comes to romance in anime like that, so I was surprised.

I'd bet that Lisara (red-haired one) gets the guy at the end and best girl (blond one OR childhood friend) can go and fuck herself.

Ummm..
