Understood, I like her too and hope if nothing else we get her impressions in the epilogue. The anime ending is happier in that way.

Problem was Naruto had way too much filler and the story lost momentum in certain parts. It really lost it's structure part of the way through. The first half was really good then it just lost steam.

The certain character is not there because when the manga ends the character is of course no longer there!
