Otome Visual Novel 'Trick or Alice' to be Animated

After the release of the second (and last) Kuro to Kin no Akanai Kagi OVA on May 30th, otome animation studio An DerCen uploaded a video containing information about its next animation project. In the video, the key visual for the otome adults-only visual novel "Trick or Alice" by game maker "little cheese" can be seen. The visual novel, aimed for the adult female demography, shipped for Windows computers on August 4, 2012.

Synopsis:
Minase Arisa is a girl who has been enjoying her peaceful life with her family and friends. But on her birthday, those quiet days come to an end when she finds herself trapped in the fantastical world of Wonderland, where all her friends have been replaced with bizarre lookalikes, and everyone insists that she is Alice, the girl they have all been waiting for. She soon learns that everything is not all magic and enchantment, for the Queen of Hearts is a tyrant over all, Wonderland is an endlessly repeating world where time cannot advance, and only Alice can break the cycle. Desperately wanting to find the real Alice and return home, Arisa now finds herself bearing the burdens of an entire world.

In my opinions, the problem came from the source materials and you should blame the staff involved rather than the studio itself.

Henneko and Sakurasou is adapted from Light Novels which is much easier to adapt to anime format, the story can only goes in one route.

Arcana and Amnesia is adapted from Visual Novels which is much harder to adapt to anime, they have multiple routes so if they only choose one route to adapt, other characters fans probably won't like it. Having only 12 episodes made them even worse, Hiiro no Kakera has 24 episodes so the story itself isn't butchered so much.

Utapri doesn't have these problems because the game doesn't have a canon route unlike these two. Despite it is enjoyable, it is actually a bad adaptation since it deviates from the game so much.

Never touched Trick or Alice, only seen a friend playing it (just a little bit), so I can't really comment on this. Just gonna say hopefully they'll animate this one properly so that people won't complain much.

lol I agree. The plot and character designs are just bad. And considering it's a hentai game, I have no interest in it. I'll be skipping this otome adaptation along with the sadist vampire one that's coming out soon.

The otome adaptations make the heroine dumb, I don't know why anime studios decide to do this. When people judge Felicità from Arcana Famiglia or Haruka from UtaPri based on their anime counterparts is like saying that Aoko Aozaki sucks just because you watched the horrible Tsukihime OVA.

Arcana Famiglia could have been a very good anime if the infamous Chiaki Kon (didn't she have enough with the Umineko fiasco?) and J.C Staff decided to screw it.

About this adaptation, I didn't like this game, was quite meh in both graphic and story.
The only porn otome adaptation I would like to see is Tsubasa no Oka no Hime because of the femdom in practically all the routes, the fantasy setting and the impressive art (this would be butchered by the anime studio though).

When are we going to have an Are You Alice? anime? I would look forward to that and has enough fujoshi-bait with an interesting take on AIW.

Actually, Hiiro no Kakera could have been really good. I knew this would happen eventually after KuroKin.

An DerCen is just PrimeTime in disguise. Can't expect any high quality anime adaptations.

I hope the other R-18 otome games out there will survive and won't be touched by An DerCen.

Well... Gonna give it a try, but I'm not expecting much quality on the art since AnDerCen was really lazy with Kuro to Kin.
