New Anime of Sailor Moon Officially Postponed

Osano Fumio, the editor of manga Sailor Moon, has announced on his official Twitter account that the new anime of Sailor Moon has been postponed. It had been scheduled to be released this summer. He said the release will not be in 2014.

Hmm.. problem is the writer of the article wrote about Nov-Jan window but nothing in the Japanese source he quoted (e.g. the pics in the article) mentions anything about such window.

It is very rare for a TV series to start in November because of the "cour system" in TV broadcast in Japan where series almost always start in Jan, April, July and October. If you have a credible source about November being mentioned as a possible start date I would be very interested to know about it.

Seems like they're just randomly throwing out dates they have no intention of following up on. Can't wait for the next cycle of hype and inevitable disappointment when this gets delayed again.

November would be a bizarre time to start an anime, very late fall start. Can't remember a show that started airing in November. I think the calendar hint really means winter 2014 season, usual start of either last week of December or start of January is my guess.

Wow, I was quite excited to hear they were making a remake. Sailor Moon is like a building block for a lot anime fans. Hopefully it will come along a lot faster, than we think.
