MikuMikuDance-based TV Anime 'Straight Title Robot Anime' Announced

According to the official website, a new TV anime titled "Straight Title Robot Anime" was announced to be aired from February 6th. It's a 15 minutes x 1 cours series and the CGI is produced by the free 3D animation program MikuMikuDance.

Synopsis said:
The story of the anime is set in the year Mobile Century 8013. It has been over seven millennia since humanity was wiped out on Earth, but the surviving military robots continue to wage war with no end in sight. The war has embroiled the Rebellion Federation that controls Europe and the Principality of Shin centered in Asia. Three young robots stand up to put an end to this futile war.

Oh cool, we've got three young robots fighting to save the world..... wait, what? Three young robots? Young robots o___o'. The heck is that supposed to mean? How are robots moving without humanity? If humanity has been wiped out, why are there magical witches in the screen caps? Why am I asking so many questions?

Anyways, it's good they are trying out new things and good luck to the anime, even though I probably won't watch it..... might give it a try though.

Well, it's amazing that MMD can be used to animate anime :x
And it feels more like a funny talkshow than an actual anime, based on the interactions

That Touhou video up there is great, but it's a year old. Hopefully, someone here has actually watched the newest from the mecha genre of MMDs on nicovideo. (Nicovideo apparently has English features now on the .jp website, so you can all at least get the jist of it on an economy account. Unfortunately, premium is unavailable, so you'll have to aim for the right time of day to get HD quality.) Those of you who aren't up for finding out what you're missing out on, you will probably get your youtube versions of MMDCup10 around February 20th or so.

I can assure you more than half of those who have never heard of MMD would think this is the actual game. The full version is to be released on February 15th.

MMD Anime? Put Lat or Tda Miku and i will watch it with pop-corn in the hand. Too bad it's not about Miku.

On the other hand. i wonder what they will use. I saw some MMD PV's using MMDCup9 with some other softwares. They looks great. Wakamura and Thanks also have some great MMD PV's.

BRS OVA is one of my favorite things ever. Skipped the TV series for reasons you can probably guess though.
