At the live conference of noitaminA, 5pb's visual novel game "Robotics;Notes" was announced to get a TV anime adaptation by Production I.G. It will be aired from October. In the autumn cours of noitamina, an original anime titled "Psycho-Pass" will be aired as well.

Robotics;Notes is 5pb & Nitro+'s third project following ChäoS;HEAd and Steins;Gate. The story takes place in the same world of Steins;Gate's true end (the world line of 1.048596). The game itself will be released on June 28th.

I've watched the other two, there's no way in hell I'm missing the next game's adaptation.

I wish it was still by White Fox though. Nothing against Production I.G, but White Fox just did so fucking well with Steins;Gate.

Wow noitamina is starting to REALLY get back on track.

Though the Robotic;Notes game isn't even out yet, and there's already an anime announced? Wow, seriously looking forward to it as I love the creation of robots.

And psycho pass sounds like an action thriller. Hope it is.

Same.
Since it is from the makers of Steins;Gate I'll give this definitely a try.

IF THIS IS AN EARLY APRIL FOOLS, I WILL RAGE SO MUCH THAT I WILL MOST LIKELY CAUSE THIS ENTIRE PLANET TO EXPLODE.

But if it's true HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT HOLY SHIT. <3
So much caps in this post.

Take all my money, 5pb. ALL OF IT!

This is late news, anyway. They announced the anime project (well, vaguely, as it apparently wasn't "officially" confirmed, but we all knew it was going to be) as soon as the game was announced.

Kind of weird that an anime of the game will be released several months after the game was officially released. Oh well.
And I will most definitely watch this.

Might be good, but I'm not expecting anything near S;G's quality.

Psycho-Pass looked CG but very little was shown. Here's some interesting information though:

Official Website: psycho-pass.com
Name Server: kk.indexweb.co.jp

indexweb.co.jp is Atlus' website, meaning Atlus is involved on the project.

Since it seems that Atlus is involved, I'm looking really forward to this!

I don't think it'll ever be near S;G quality as after checking out the PV for the game, the two main leads look very... plain in comparison to Okarin and Kurisu, though all the realistic science behind it all seems very interesting.

Though you can't really compare the two yet as time travel is actually dangerous compared to making robots, unless this game is also a thriller.

First I was like faaaaakyeaaaaaah!

Then I read Production I.G. and then I was like Noooooooooooooooo!

Then I remembered GitS and then I was like Okay.

Then I remembered Guilty Crown and cried deeply.

Of course R;N is going to be a thriller, both C;H and S;G are science fiction thriller visual novels.

Guilty Crown is an original anime though, this time around they're not writing the story. I.G doesn't suck at adapting, though I don't think I've ever seen a VN adaptation from them...

Oh well, pretty visuals are guarranteed.

Going to watch both!

S;G was pretty damn good and the concept of C;H was interesting (heard the anime was bad). I like the title of the other one so that's getting watched too. Shallow but who cares?

WhiteFox would be busy with Jormungand S2. There's no way they could make 2 animes per season yet.

Woot, anime confirmation etc before the game even out? Swift move, 5pb!

I guess this time I.G didn't messed up.

Where is the saya no uta anime? I'm damn sure that would sell a lot better then whatever this is. Regardless I will give it a shot, despite it not sounding very appealing.

When I thought 'sequel' to Steins;Gate I was really glad but when I saw the moe characters and those bots I was a bit disappointed.

I hate this time, nothing can be trusted. Sometimes they announce things on April fools as joke, but eventually it's true, that's no logic.

Yeah sure, something based on a 10 years old game with a very limited following would sell well, most certainly...

They would certainly market it by pointing out that it was written by gen urobuchi, who has a tremendous record for his recent works being fate zero and madoka. Grouping saya no uta with them would surely bring in a big customer base. Along with the original vn being released later this year in america, an anime adaption I think would be highly received.
