Second Season of gdgd Fairies Due in Jan 2013

According to the official website, the second season of gdgd Fairies was announced to be aired from January 2013. A special program introducing the new season will be aired in December.

Full 3D CG is terribad no matter the budget, so I'm glad that gdgd is an especially low budget show 'cause with 3-4k copies sold they can make sequels with profit.
And the more f**king awesome gudaguda I get, the marrier I become.

Actually what I wanted to say is that those who failed to enjoy Family Guy or South Park often do not appreciate the aesthetic choice and humor from the action in the animation, even though what you said holds true for some people. And even for those people, there is the likelihood that they may enjoy the humor less -- for example I may find the humor in K-On very funny even on the sight gags but I may find it much less enjoyable if it follows a western style of animation art. For me, the visual style and the contents are not really that distinctly separable.

Some people call the animation in Family Guys or South Park shit too although usually they are those people who don't get the humor in them.

I first heard of this show in saimoe preliminaries, got me curious. There are so many anime in Fall though, I doubt I'll find the time.

But it sold well, very well.

What it shows is that even for an anime of low quality animation, contents can still sell. But the thing is its humor is very Japanese and otaku-oriented so most likely foreigners may find it difficult to laugh at its humor.
