JoJolion is the one JoJo part that I never seem to hear about. Which is a shame, because I consider it one of the most profound and interesting parts in this masterpiece of a series.

JoJolion has its flaws, no doubt. It abandons plot lines and sometimes things seem to come out of nowhere. The pacing is inconsistent as it feels quite slow throughout until it hits you with a fast-paced and convoluted ending. The main villain is not terribly interesting as a character and doesn't appear until late in the story.

Honestly though, the flaws are what make this part what it is, and I ...

One big disclaimer, the elephant in the room: As of me writing this on June 17th, 2021, JoJolion has not ended. Despite that, so long as the ending is not terrible, I don't see my opinion changing much.

JoJolion is awesome! The story that has been building up for 10 years now (wow!), really 30+ years, is really captivating. Many mysteries, characters, plotlines, histories, etc. have all been introduced, many elaborated on, and some still left unclear, which all keeps you wondering what will happen next. If anything, JoJolion is VERY unpredictable. I think that is the best part about it, and really about JoJo in ...

Jojolion is, so far, the most bizarre part of JoJo, rivalled maybe just by Jorge Joestar. Yes, I know, it’s literally in the title, but don’t underestimate this part. Araki really let himself go, and it’s glorious.

The transformation from over the top battle shounen spoof which JoJo started as to the gallery-worthy aesthetics in both the art and the story continues, and this is the most artsy result yet in the series. The plot takes its time and isn’t afraid of experimenting. The previous parts already had some of the most creative fights in manga medium in general and Jojolion is coming closer to ...

I really enjoyed reading Jojolion, the last few chapter were awesome although I do think the ending was a bit rushed . I really liked Josukes character and his develpoment , he went from somebody trying to understand who he was to accepting his fate and deciding he was himself , he was Josuke. I like how we get to know these little details about the characters and I think their backsotries were interesting. I loved that Araki mentions Steel Ball Run a lot in JoJolion , and how we get to know what happend to characters like Lucy and Johnny . Jojolion of course ...

After letting it resonate for a while I’ve decided to finally review jojolion.

To put it simply, everything in this part is build up but the payoff is rarely there or just unsatisfactory.

Jojolion presents itself as a mystery story (vaguely similar to the beginning of part 4) but I wouldn’t even call it a mystery story because usually there’s hints or clues that will make you go “Ah! That’s what it was” but in jojolion there’s really none of that.

What makes it even worse are the dropped/unexplained plot points that make things more frustrating and I refuse to use “araki forgot lol” ...

I'm surprised this series isn't up there with Steel Ball Run. This sequel, for me anyway, takes all the great points of SBR and adds on to the winning formula to produce a modern masterpiece.

This review will contain spoilers for SBR

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Story: 9/10

JoJolion differs from the SBR story, in which the Saint's Corpse MacGuffins take the characters on a high-stakes, "world-spanning" quest. In Part 8, the author takes a different approach: villains come after the protagonist with little explanation from early on in the story, and he needs to find out why that is by following the evidence. A lot of elements remind me of Part ...

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken Part 8: JoJolion Review

Story (6/10) Fair

The story for JoJo's Part 8 I think is fair overall. I don't think it's bad but I don't think it's good either. Fair. I think this is honestly the best word I can use to describe this because on paper. The mystery to figure everything out, the level of nuance, the overall abstract nature and the worldbuilding behind this Part is arguably the strongest it's been out of all of the parts. This can easily be seen as a good thing if you like any of those things and I respect Araki for ...

unique, interesting, and loveable. a well-fleshed-out plot to compliment araki's art. one of the calmest jojo parts but not to it's detriment
a controversial Jojo part just looking at the ratings, I can understand why but still one of my favorite mangas of all time.

story 9 / 10
takes place in an alternate universe Morrioh, many wacky conflicts will happen here and in a way it's all connected and will be unraveled by the mc

characters 9.5 / 10
one man, and his journey of self-discovery. just like the protagonist of part 7, he may not be the most confident, cool, or strong hero, but he's ...

JoJo part 8 or rather JoJolion was a part that i looked forward to right after reading steel ball run and to say I was disappointed would not be fair, rather the themes and characters that are often the cornerstone of JoJo feel left out in places or at least they do in the last half. The first half is full of amazing artwork, incredibly fun and tense stand battles as well as an interesting story involving our protagonist Josuke. It starts us with a mystery set up to be solved which is: Who is josuke and why did he wake up on a beach ...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's mangaka Hirohiko Araki is great when it comes down to character, dialogue, art, themes, tone, etc. and when it all comes neatly together within a greater narrative you get the well acclaimed masterpiece Part 7 - Steel Ball Run.

Part 8 is not Part 7

I would say that all arcs within JoJolion are very solid on their own, often great to incredible even, while Part 8 as a whole is messy. The struggle within JoJolion comes from the fact that as the reader you have to come to your own conclusions/interpretations and have to finish the puzzle yourself, while at the same ...

Preliminary (110/110 chp)
With high expectations for Jojolion, since all the love and hype for this part, I will say it didn't let me down, even though I expected a few things to be better. I think were part eight lacks the most is were part seven shines, the character development, their relations with each other, and the main villain. Once more Araki choose to focus on a huge groupe of individuals, and while this works really well in a lot of moments, I couldn't avoid having the feeling that this also made it harder to develop the characters, specially when a lot of then barely get any ...

A story about breaking a curse... Jojolion the 9th installment in the Jojo's Bizarre Adventure series is quite unique and sets itself apart from the other parts of Jojo. Jojolion is a bit all over the place and quirky. I really enjoyed the ideas and concepts presented in each arc with very thrilling and insane story reveals. I could never really tell what Araki was planning after each arc. I compare Jojolion to GoT in that you can expect any character to die at any time or something odd to happen to them. Araki's writing is as abstract and bizarre as ever in this part. ...

When I first got rich with jojolion i liked the beginning very much..the beginning is full of mystery what is Araki planning to make his story? that's what came to my mind when i read the first chapter of jojolion..we got two female and male characters “Josuke and Yasuho.” it was a special idea in the JoJo to get two male and female heroes,The part was so weird most of the chapters were so mysterious i couldn't wait to find out what would happen to josuke and yasuhu...toru was a great personality and nothing could stop him except by a miracle.. he didn't want to ...

Preliminary (91/110 chp)
At this point of time, Jojolion has 91 chaps and is still going on. So far it's really good despite it being an alternate version of Part 4. The characters are really good and I love the usual factor of Araki which is prevalent in other JoJo parts, i.e. giving an insight into the side characters. Also, despite the fact that we still don't know who the main antagonist is, this JoJo is really good. I would say to people that there are some Part 5 parallels as well as Part 4.

One thing about this JoJo, I hate is the frequency at ...

I cannot overstate how incredible this part was, 10 years of twists and turns, some of the best art in a manga I have ever seen, amazing character writing, genuinely tense and gripping battles, and it all came to an end on the day I'm writing this. This review isn't meant to be an in-depth analysis of the series, but moreso something I feel I need to just put out there. If you're still somewhat uncertain about reading JoJo, I can firmly say that parts 6 through 8 are some of the greatest experiences I have had with manga and fiction as a whole, and ...

Part 8 JoJolion is an exploration of family legacy, with the focus on motherhood, which clever enough, is explored though the lens of a retrograde amnesiac; It's a wonderful, cohesive, philosophical work, and it's honest to the author Araki. It was specifically written to tackle these themes, serving as a remaster of the main theme of the original series, that being family legacy, and also being the proper successor to Steel Ball Run in terms of these themes (SBR being a story about fatherhood). I can't give it enough praise for its clever ways of redoing and one-upping the original series, whilst ...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure part 8, at the time I am writing this review jojolion is currently my favorite part. this part has the most well-made begging of all jojo series, the more you get through the part the more the begging becomes more amazing. the characters in jojolion are very good, specially Jouske8, add to the great drawing of Hirohiko Araki. the only downfall for this part is that some chapters are not long enough for a monthly series, I think that 45 pages is perfect for that. Overall, I'm really enjoying reading jojolion, and if you have time to read it, then do so, ...

Preliminary (104/110 chp)
Jojolion is a very good following part after Part 7 because we can refer to Part 7 as Part 1-3 after Stone Ocean.
Story
9/10 (so far)

The story is not finished but it's really close as I can see.
I really like this new type of storytelling. At part 3 even though I really liked that part I felt like every Stand battle is just there and most of them doesn't really take us closer to the climax of the part. In my opinion, this formula is a lot more interesting, but in the beginning, it was a bit slow and kinda boring, but later it ...

Just like in the previous part, Araki managed to create something that felt completely fresh. Despite the links to previous parts (especially the 4th), this one feels like none before it!

This was hands down the best part by far. Steel Ball Run had the best premise out of all the parts, but JoJolion had the best writing. The stand abilities, though often oddly unique and situational, were all incredible and were written into fights very creatively.

The story itself felt very well written, as while reading through the chapters, I could see a lot of writing advice that I've heard in the past being applied to ...

So Jojolion finally came to an end
It's been 3 years since I've caught up to it and I liked it.
As the story progresses I ended up loving it more and more, except for the 2 last chapters that felt kinda ....off?

The art is great ,as time goes on Araki's capabilities at drawing are drastically increasing .

I'm pretty satisfied with the characters ,at least most of them . I need to mention that Josuke is probably one of my favourite Jojos. Compared to other parts I have to say that the antagonist appeared to be less interesting ,at least for me .

Overall, while Jojolion ...
