Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt: Bandit Flower Review

Story (7/10) Good
More Specifically (7.50/10) Good+

In comparison to the episodic format previously release just like December Sky I feel that having all 4 ONA episodes combined into one movie makes it easier and understand and consume. Unless it's either been a while and I forgot or if they actually did I noticed a few additional scenes but not too many.

Art and Animation (10/10) Masterpiece

The animation and art-style of Gundam Thunderbolt never disappoints unique, rough and classic hand-drawn full as always.

Sound (8/10) Very Good

Nothing has really changed this time around that wasn't in the read more

Devilman: Crybaby Review

Story (7/10) Good
More Specifically (7.75/10) Good+

The story of Devilman is quite straightforward at first. Main character gets the power of a powerful demon named Amon and with his friend takes out full demons bringing terror to humans. But the more you uncover beyond the synopsis especially with that borderline spoiler opening you soon find out that the main character and his friend have an extreme difference in the opinion of basically everything that's going on around them. The conflict reminds me of another series in a way you may have heard of it.. you know Berserk? Now I know technically Devilman predates read more

Inuyashiki Review

Story (6/10) Fine

The story for Inuyashiki was obviously one of those stories from the get go (especially if you knew how many episodes the anime was scheduled for) was not going to explain a lot of conspiracies and mysteries of their universe. That being said the what the series decided to focus on was nonetheless compelling from the end of episode 2 to the end of the anime.
With the amount of episodes it had if it did try to explain all of our questions it would probably have felt rushed so even though I'm going to wish I knew the answers to my questions read more

Xi Xing Ji/Westbound/Journey to the West/西行纪 Review

Story (8/10) Very Good

XXJ expresses it's own twist on how the Legendary Journey to the West Tale occurred in it's story, the first thing that you most likely would say is "Oh here we go again another story about Sun Wu Kong and the Journey to the West.." but this isn't about the story to the Journey to the West though! This is a story that sure adapts what took place during that Journey but it's not the focus point as this story starts off with the famous Journey being a thing of the past. This is a story read more

Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt 2nd Season Review

Story (7/10) Good
More Specifically (7.25/10) Good

The story for Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt 2nd Season was good, it definitely explained what was going on in the struggles of war far better than it's manga counterpart during the sections that were covered. Although even with that being said the concept of the struggles of war were indeed present you can tell that it was definitely more laid back (at least until the last episode) than season one. This arc slowly but surely introduced the monks and their realization of newtypes but I did feel it did it take a bit read more

Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger Review

Story (10/10) Outstanding

The arcs that Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger covered in the 26 episodes it was given were outstanding. I can see why it was named "New Challenger" because literally almost if not every fight had to do with a Challenger going up against a title holding Champion and one would think that it would get repetitive when this is said but every single fight lives up to the build up of the setup and background story around each match arc just was well as the 75 episode season 1.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season Review

Story (8/10) Very Good

The story for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season was very good. It doesn't try to follow in the foot steps of previous Gundams and it tries it's own thing, other than the Gundam itself there's barely and resemblance to any alternate universe that have come before it. No lasers (except that one the mobile armor used), No beam weapons and no haro, sure there's a mask character and a char and even a garma clone. But it still does things that aren't seen before in a actual plot in a Gundam story and read more

Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo Review

Story (9/10) Great

The Story for Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is simple but great. It starts off real slice of life-ish but obviously by the name of the anime movie you get into the meat of the story and it left the mystery of why she can do it hidden for a good amount of time before explaining how she can do it and where it came from. I appreciate that it explained those type of things because I've seen too many stories that'll just have it in there just for the sake of it and have it occur for read more

Kimi no Na wa./君の名は。/ Your Name. Review (Re-uploaded)

Story (7/10) Good
More Specifically (7.75/10) Good+
(Semi-Spoilers)

Now I see a nice handful of people that thought the story was complete trash. But I personally don't think so, did it start off generic? yeah I felt so, but I don't think that's a bad thing. But I personally can't fully compliment something I've seen too many of times, now the execution behind said generic story plot is the best I've seen so far I'll give it that but them it fell apart soon after. And by generic story plot I've seen too many times I'm talking about the body-switch read more

Tokyo Ghoul Review

Story (10/10) Outstanding

The story for Tokyo Ghoul is quite outstanding especially compared to it's anime counterpart. I'm glad I took the time to sit down and read this the mangaka behind this knows how to latch a outstanding story together. Although at some points it can get a bit overwhelming with the introduction of characters it's not too hard to follow. The struggles and undertone messages that this manga brings to the table is definitely within the same realm as another series I adore called Parasyte and after reading this I do think this is better than Parasyte, it takes the overall plot read more
