Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger Review

Story (10/10) Outstanding

The arcs that Hajime no Ippo: New Challenger covered in the 26 episodes it was given were outstanding. I can see why it was named "New Challenger" because literally almost if not every fight had to do with a Challenger going up against a title holding Champion and one would think that it would get repetitive when this is said but every single fight lives up to the build up of the setup and background story around each match arc just was well as the 75 episode season 1.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season Review

Story (8/10) Very Good

The story for Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans 2nd Season was very good. It doesn't try to follow in the foot steps of previous Gundams and it tries it's own thing, other than the Gundam itself there's barely and resemblance to any alternate universe that have come before it. No lasers (except that one the mobile armor used), No beam weapons and no haro, sure there's a mask character and a char and even a garma clone. But it still does things that aren't seen before in a actual plot in a Gundam story and read more

Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki Review

Story (10/10) Masterpiece

The story for Ookami Kodomo no Ame to Yuki or Wolf Children as it's english name is translated to is straight up a masterpiece. It shows the love and struggles of the protagonist and single mother Hana so beautifully. The overall story isn't anything massively deep on the surface but it has many undertones that a person can relate to whether through Hana or the other main characters. The pacing was spot on and left me wanting more by the end of this 2 hour long movie. The progression and growth throughout the entire story was read more

Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo Review

Story (9/10) Great

The Story for Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo is simple but great. It starts off real slice of life-ish but obviously by the name of the anime movie you get into the meat of the story and it left the mystery of why she can do it hidden for a good amount of time before explaining how she can do it and where it came from. I appreciate that it explained those type of things because I've seen too many stories that'll just have it in there just for the sake of it and have it occur for read more

Kimi no Na wa./君の名は。/ Your Name. Review (Re-uploaded)

Story (7/10) Good
More Specifically (7.75/10) Good+
(Semi-Spoilers)

Now I see a nice handful of people that thought the story was complete trash. But I personally don't think so, did it start off generic? yeah I felt so, but I don't think that's a bad thing. But I personally can't fully compliment something I've seen too many of times, now the execution behind said generic story plot is the best I've seen so far I'll give it that but them it fell apart soon after. And by generic story plot I've seen too many times I'm talking about the body-switch read more

Tokyo Ghoul Review

Story (10/10) Outstanding

The story for Tokyo Ghoul is quite outstanding especially compared to it's anime counterpart. I'm glad I took the time to sit down and read this the mangaka behind this knows how to latch a outstanding story together. Although at some points it can get a bit overwhelming with the introduction of characters it's not too hard to follow. The struggles and undertone messages that this manga brings to the table is definitely within the same realm as another series I adore called Parasyte and after reading this I do think this is better than Parasyte, it takes the overall plot read more

Berserk (2016) Review

Story (7/10) Good

The Story for Berserk written by Kentarou Miura is probably the one of the if not the best written seinen stories I've read. The anime adaption tries to adapted the Tower of Conviction Arc which is considered the 3rd major arc in the over Berserk manga. Did they do the adaptation justice? No... fuck no.. but was it bad? Nah it wasn't bad from an adaptation standpoint as far as focusing on the Tower of Conviction arc I felt they adapted the story decently although since this animation studio is the same one that brought us the trilogy movie you would read more

JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Diamond wa Kudakenai Review

Story (9/10) Great
More Specifically (9.50/10) Great+

The Story for Part 4 of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure I felt was great for it's uniqueness and laid back atmosphere presented in majority of the Part. It's definitely nothing like the first 3 Parts when it comes to tone as the first 3 were a combination of comedy, tension, hype fights and bizarre situations. Now although you can say that this Part of JoJo's had all of those things it definitely added it's own flavor of slice of life to the series which at first (back in 2015 when i read the read more

Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu Review

Story (7/10) Good

The Story for Re:Zero is good... that's it, in my opinion if anyone tells you otherwise then they are kind of blind-sighted by the immense about of shock-factor, waifus with a dash of sakuga to keep you entertained in the actual anime which is good sure for entertainment purposes. Which is funny how people can call the story of One Punch Man repetitive (yes we are talking about OPM in a Re:Zero review fuck off) but then when it comes to the repetition you find in this story it's just ok now isn't it? Wu Geng Ji Review (Only 6 Episodes are released at this time)

Story (8/10) Very Good
More Specifically (8.75/10) Very Good+

The Story of Wu Geng Ji starts off just like the Manhua as we see through the perspective of Zi Shou as he reigns his Kingdom and the struggles that come with it. There really is not that much of a difference when it comes to the adaptation from a story standpoint I think is fine although the fact that this is a ONA not an actual Dong Hua and only runs for 15 minutes at a time does feel a bit more fast pace than read more
