Ousama Ranking is a tough one for me, because its first episodes are incredibly strong, however, these episodes promise a better show than it ends up being. At first there is a real tension between many different characters and parties, but by the end of 23 episodes all of that is gone. This is because the story makes one fatal flaw; Ousama Ranking does not commit to consequences! This means the story slowly begins to stagnate and halfway through the anime, the plot dies.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's mangaka Hirohiko Araki is great when it comes down to character, dialogue, art, themes, tone, etc. and when it all comes neatly together within a greater narrative you get the well acclaimed masterpiece Part 7 - Steel Ball Run.
Part 8 is not Part 7 I would say that all arcs within JoJolion are very solid on their own, often great to incredible even, while Part 8 as a whole is messy.
