 The 5-toubun no Hanayome (The Quintessential Quintuplets) Special Event 2023 announced on Saturday that the series is receiving a new anime, which will be adapting stories from the manga that the series skipped. The event also revealed an announcement visual (pictured) and video.Tezuka Productions produced the first 12-episode season, which aired during Winter 2019. The second season was produced by Bibury Animation Studios and aired in Winter 2021. A sequel movie opened in Japanese theaters on May 20. Crunchyroll is streaming both seasons with subtitles and an English dub. The anime series adapt Negi Haruba's romantic comedy manga, which serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine from August 2017 to February 2020. Kodansha shipped the 14th and final volume in April 2020. Kodansha USA began publishing the manga in English in June 2018. They released the 14th and final volume digitally in August 2020 and physically in July 2021.
