Well, to be honest, they did it along with 4-5 original seasons in the last two years. What surprises me more is that we are literally the only ones who are salty about this. People who a couple of hours ago accused the creators of Kaguya of milking the franchise, now are praising the next spin-off of the endless media franchise.

maybe i'm an exception, but as someone who likes cgdct shows, i don't mind isekai. heck, i found some isekai shows enjoyable as well. princess connect was amazing and i plan on watching the slime series sometime.
i think this has less to do with a certain fanbase hating on another, but more of some obnoxious people in a fanbase being, well, obnoxious. you can find such people in every fanbase.

The problem is that apparently when people don't like a certain genre, complaining about its continuation is something completely normal and cool, but when it's their favorite, then any milking is already acceptable.
