| It happens if the main character regardless of gender for some reason is super dense and lacks any sense of logic on why they are being teased. Dude, enough with your perverted sense of shame, that person has been with you since the beginning and acts all comfy with you, could you please think with your puny brain of why they are doing it? I think the problem is that they make the characters that way so they can stretch out the content worth of an hour movie to seasons. |

The target audience of anime are guys who have some sort of anxiety and don't know what to do in those situations while at the same time want to be in mad pussy heaven. The target audience of those anime are not guys who think they would be alpha males and start banging the fist hot chicks who threw themselves at the guys. |

| A big problem in Japan that has been happening the last 10 years is bullying becomeing to much for males. Don't know if you have seen Great Teacher Onizuka, one of the main characters from this serie gets really bullied. And the thing is, it's girls that is doing it. This is just not something that is made up and it's causesing huge problems in Japan. It's one of the reasins why Japan is literally dying right now. Ofc, this might be a bit to extreme as a example, but a lot boys in Japan is having a tough time. And it feels like Manga authors takes this into account when creating a piece of fiction. I just finished Shuumatsu no Harem, i don't care how pure the main character think he is. He is beyond stupid especially in the way he acts towards girls in lewd situations, it's a bit to much. |

| Serious answer: I think, the society of Japan in media has turned overapologetic to women for limiting their roles and freedom for a good chunk of history. Semi-serious answer: Something about otakus being shy and socially inept? Social customs in Japan be different tho.
