i'm pretty sure 3/25/19 should have been the start day for the anime not the completed day. since it's been nearly a year I can't say for certain but I think I watched that kitty show in increments of four eps over some weeks. I think I had to go between a few anime sites + YouTube to find all the eps so I estimate that I likely finished it either late April or early May.

Action, Adventure, Ecchi, Mystery and Horror: Sorry, kinda got used to people knowing my format from back when the club was smaller. Everything in orange means it was not previously watched. Everything in regular color is previously watched. The things in orange are what's needed to upgrade from Easy to Hard.

Demons (EDITED a couple minutes after posting): A card game is definitely a game, and the challenge says watch an anime based on a Game/Visual Novel. The fact that the source is a bit more specific adding "card" doesn't stop it from being a game source. As a matter of Fact, our "Game" Challenge especially states that "Card Game" are also part of the challenge (which I think it's correct).

Demons: I don't have a screenshot of Yu Yu Hakusho, and I usually at least put the number in those types of criteria, which I actually didn't in this case, so I'll just swap Yu Yu Hakusho with InuYasha Movie 4: Guren no Houraijima (which has 220 drops and is currently listed in the criteria asking for an anime with the Martial Arts tag).

Multi-genre: My mistake here. They were definitely previously started series and I probably didn't notice while filling the challenge.

Bingo: About the last year anime, then this is a rule that clearly needs clarification. I watched in 2019 an anime from 2018, so that's an anime from last year in my book. This one actually took me quite a while to complete precisely because of that, since I barely watch anime as it airs, and I'm usually always 2 years behind (ex: right now I'm watching 2018 anime). I can probably fill this with a 2015 series, but this is something that should be changed to "watch an anime from the year before you signed-up to this challenge".

Bingo: Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai was definitely part of the magical girl list from malgraph years ago. This is something I don't have a screenshot of, but I'm 100% certain (since I helped malgraph years ago with some stuff). This is a general problem we have because that list has gone and probably will still go through changes as it is edited from time to time, and for obvious reasons the time I finish a challenge (and much more if it's just a criteria) it's quite before inspection happens (for obvious reasons), and we can't control the changes that list goes through.

Bingo: I would like to understand why Uchuu Kazoku Carlvinsson doesn't count. Because I consider it picture perfect for that criteria.

Bingo general thoughts: Sorry to bother with this one this way, but if it took me 4 years to actually finish the challenge it's because I was actually pretty strict when choosing things for a criteria. So, while not your fault, it kinda bothers me (the situation, not your work) that being so strict with criterias is actually playing against me here.

Episodic:

- Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari (both): The series is about a different case each episode that has no relation to the other. We have different people that only appear for that case in particular and never appear again. While the series does have a long term goal, each episode could easily be watched without watching anything else and it would actually work. It's been a while since I watched it, so maybe there's one or two cases with 2 parts, but that's it. To put it into perspective, I would consider this more episodic than Detective Conan, which is also episodic even if there is progress through the black organization arcs. Typical of police stories

- Ryoko: I has the same idea as the above as it's also a police story. Each episode is a different case that can be watched separately. There's also one or two that are two-part cases (2 episodes), but it definitely follows an episodic format. Episodes are even called "file 1", "file 2", etc. I think even the original light novel is written as a collection of cases.

- Kyou Kara Ore Wa: There is no overarching plot in the OVAs at least. Each episode shows a different situation from a previous one, and you don't need a previous episode to watch a current one. There is no direct connection between them, as it's a comedy that puts our protagonists in different problems that are created and resolved in the same episode.

- Miyuki: There is some sort of progress but again this is made of episodes that are a self-contained story with barely to no general progress in the main story. This is a romcom that never gets to a solution.

- City Hunter '91: This applies to all of City Hunter series: Again police stories, in this case with our cool muscular protagonist. Each episode is a different case were Ryou (protagonist) saves a different girl. Same formula per episode where he usually acts like a pervert, women hate him, then they get kidnapped or something of the sort, he saves the woman and then he becomes, at least respected by the woman. There are some episodes that are more about Ryou's past or similar, but also work on an episodic manner. Think of Cowboy Bebop format.

- Watashi blabla: This is not really episodic. I don't know why I listed this but no, this is a mistake of mine. I'll scratch this one out.

- New Game!: I think this one is more on the episodic side though. Sure, some things carried, but episodes are self-contained. I would agree New Game!! (second season) isn't an episodic series since the series was made in a way where there was much more connection between episodes (you can see I didn't list the second season even though I also watched it). Almost every episodic series has some stuff that carries to the following episodes, since they're usually about the same protagonist(s) going through different scenarios (depending on the kind of series), so there is always some sort of connection (maybe character remembering something, the episode showing something that was done on a previous episode, etc), but the important thing is to have episodes with a story that's self-contained (or done in parts at mosts, in which case the episodes will usually have the same title, but with part 1, part 2, etc). I'm now skimming through the episodic tag in anidb, and a lot of series go through this (City Hunter is there by the way. Admittedly not '91, but every City Hunter series, OVA or movie follow the exact same formula). Aria is there and definitely have some things that carry through the series (and slowly manage a fantastic ending in Origination by the way), Centaur no Nayami slowly expands the circle of characters and develops relationships between characters, Flying Witch goes through Makoto's learning process as a witch, gets to know characters that then get integrated to the series and learns things she then uses, Ginga Tetsudou 999 is all about an end-goal that is sort of achieved in the final episodes while the journey is collection of different stories from which Tetsurou learns (Ginga Tetsudou Monogatari is a "sequel" by the way and works in a similar format), Kino no Tabi follows Kino visiting a different country each episode with a self-contained story, but through memories or characters things from previous episodes are mentioned, and help Kino develop through the different episodic situations... long etc.

As a matter of fact, there are some things on that tag I really don't consider episodic, so I may be actually more strict than the tag in a way deciding (how is HxH 2011 episodic. No way that's episodic in my book).

Episodic general thoughts: Thank you very much for actually going through the process of asking why I listed those things. I will insist on all of them having an episodic format, but I will also admit a mistake in one of them Watashi blabla, which I don't know why I listed it at the moment (who knows, maybe it was tagged and then taken out so since I saw the tag I just listed it, but I personally think it's not episodic).

Featured Article: My bad here. Since it's a TV type with regular 24 minutes episodes I just listed the series and forgot about the 10 episodes rule.

I will fix the challenge themselves hopefully tomorrow and mention you so that you know when that happens.

As it always happens to me with this posts. Sorry for the long texts and explanations, it's just part of my nature I guess. I appreciate the work of you inspectors a ton since I know it's actually quite a lot (even with the HoF website helping a lot nowadays).

So hopefully you understand I always argue trying to reach a correct decision, and also because it helps me detect rules/criterias that may not be very clear.

I am currently dealing with a family matter and don't have the time right now to search for something that would fit the criteria for the entries that need fixed? Since the one is for the Aug 2019 monthly challenge, do I have to find something I watched that month or can I use something that I have recently watched? ty!

- Demons: Yuu Yuu Hakusho is now under the criteria that asks for a Martial Arts tag while InuYasha Movie 4 (previously under the martial arts tag criteria) is in the less than 10k drop criteria. I will insist though that Shingeki no Bahamut should be valid as a card game as stated before, and will add that other users that completed the challenge before me also used Shingeki no Bahamut (ex: Jhiday).

#03 Shiro back-up replaced with Animation Seisaku Shinkou Kuromi-chan 2 [Battobi ~ alien things] <-- disagree with it though.. "The mascot form must be their normal form (meaning they can't be a human that changes into a mascot)". This is a little black cat that changes into a little girl for a while (because she made a wish to be a girl) but changes back again. So, their normal form is cat.
