I'm in a huge Gundam hype atm but somehow i don't care about the chronological order.
First i watched Iron Blooded Orphans, then Thunderbolt, 00 and now Seed.

But as i watched Garden of Sinners, i NEEDED to watch it in chronological order.
Same goes for the Fate/ Series.

How do you decide?

Yeah I'd recommend watching Baccano and Danganronpa in chronological order.

Depends if it's relevant to the story and making of the series or not.

I admit you lost me here. XD There is no chronological link at all between those four stories.
Have a good time with this great teenagers soap-opera.

@PoeticJustice How did you dare not including F91, G-Reco and Turn A in the timeline but added all 79 spin-off?

Those shows are more stand-alone than other Gundam Shows. If you look for the UC-Order, then you'll have fun

there is no chronological order for most gundams since they are alternative universe stories. Only if you watch the main UC timline the chronological order is relevant (and watching IBO S1 before IBO S2 and so on).

Not always. Sometimes it's a remake (like Berserk 97 and the Berserk movies from the 2010s) or something just gets delayed endlessly (like Kizumonogatari) while other parts of the franchise air.
I probably regret this post by now.

Pretty less... like watching all the different timelines by arc in Monogatari series and in Jinrui

TBH the most confusing one is the Haruri franchise -_-

(x) Depends on my mood and title
If there is a thing that I want to see, and the "airing route" will take forever to reach this specific part, then chronological.

If not, I will choose airing because, this is the way how you supose to watch the serie.

Well, this, but Haruhi is an exception. It's MUCH BETTER and natural to watch with chronological order and even KyoAni said that it's a proper way to watch it.

I recall having watched the Haruhi Series in both chronological and Broadcasting Order, since it was mentioned somewhere that the Episodes are messed up. Your Name reminds me of it, OP, lol.

I can understand not watching Gundam in airing order because there is like 50 of them, but I see no reason not to watch Monogatari series that way when it's so clear in how they aired.

Depends on the series, some shows like Monogatari are meant to be experienced non-chronologically, if its not really relevant I just go by what I'm in the mood for

I always watch as intended: airing order.

Although most of the time it matches chronological, and it's not that harmful to watch any entry first and the other later, I do believe that following airing order you are better positioned to have the correct watching experience.

You do not need to watch many of the Gundam series unless they shared the same name in any order. I'm not sure about the older ones but a lot of the newer ones hold very little to no correlation between each other. So unless you're talking something like watching Seed Destiny before Seed or 00 s2 before s1, the example the OP uses does not even work.

in fact i go out of my way to watch in non-chronological order

usually by randomly renaming each episoded and watching them in that order.. every anime is now a puzzle

The way the series is intended to be watched, this is usually indicated by the broadcast order. I for one feel like watching something chronologically that isn't structured to be seen that way is pure asinine.

Why are the mood and the title used in the same sentence...

Watching always in the airing order.

So far, I've always watched series according to air date, at least for the first time through.
If there are prequel series, episodes, OVAs, etc, then a re-watch might involve chronological order of the story timeline.
You're never too old to watch anime.
If I ever stop watching anime, check my pulse I'm likely dead.

It depends. I have seen the Kara no Kyoukai movies in airing order but I'm still confused about the watching order for the fate franchise, I have read so many conflicting opinions and I still don't know the right way to watch it.

Your example are quite loose, but still valid nonetheless.

If we still talking about series order. I tend to watch/play anything on chronological order. But sometimes I don't really care, especially when it hard to obtain / achieve the list order.

If it's about episode, I watch it in airing order, except if it's already completed and valid chronological order.
