Too bad that we probably have to wait a long time now. This last episode was emotional, great for a final episode.

Looks as if some people really died (Link, Cross (?))

Not everything was perfect imo (for example the first episodes and some parts of the Alma Arc), but nice to look at. (8/10)

It was a decent end, I'm not a fan of the new scenes added in. Overall the alma arc was animated quite poorly when it came to the action scenes and scenes from the manga were being reshuffled or skimmed which I thought was pretty bad.

The whole alley ending, kinda trashy tbh and they even included a scene from one of the recent chapters where Allen is walking to the house which I thought was a nice addition but a but early tbh.

Last ep 6/10
Best Ep: 12
Overall series score: 7.5 (Didn't meet my expectations but was still aight)

Fun fact: Itou Shizuka and Kobayashi Sanae voiced their characters in d.gray man starting from when they were 26. Murase Ayumu and Kakuma Ai voiced their characters in d.gray man (this season) at 28. (Allen Walker and Lenalee Lee)

Btw if anyone would be so kind as to tell me, which of the adaptations had art which was closer to the manga? I don't read the manga so it would be much appreciated if someone answered

Hopefully season 3 in 3 years!

Both are pretty accurate, the art in the manga has improved over time so the first series is closer to the original look while Hallow is closer to the current look.

Kanda sure surprised me. I really didn't expect him to change or feel such 'regret' for what happened with Allen.

This series has so many interesting elements, it's a shame the manga is so slow :/

Damn good to see Kanda is alive and back in action...this was a rather emotional episode overall. A shame there'll likely go a good long time before S3 tho .-.

At least they handled the Yuu and Alma arc in a good way.

Hallow was better than I expected, they did really well for having only 13 episodes. I think I even enjoyed this more than the first season, to be honest. Solid 9/10.

I have to admit this anime is not great in visual nor in sound.. but really, the story is strong..
Why two best airing shounen manga (another one is HXH) have similar problem !

There are a lot of little things I can complain about.Overall, this adaptation had some great moments, while sometimes it felt pretty...hollow(No pun intended).

At least they portrayed the feelings from Alma arc well enough.

7/10 for me.

And I really enjoyed watching it from start to finish.
Anyway, I'll rate this anime an 8 out of 10 score overall.

Sad to see it go again :(

Kanda! I was hoping for a bit of white in his hair, oh well...
Twintail Lenalee is coming back! <3333
Sucks to see Alan going through this alone.

This season wasn't the best, definitely preferred the dark tone of the first season. The lack of budget hurt this real bad as well. Either way, I never expected to see D.Gray-man animated ever again and this was such a great surprise! Hopefully they will surprise me again!

8/10, might be overrating it a bit but :') <3

Im really suprised by Hallow. Studio did amazing job with only 13. Surely it would be better if series got 25, but still great. Lmao that imo the one of the best plot for shounen manga is actually written by women.

So, goodbye D.Gray-man for (probably) next years.

I hope a follow up season is announced soon!
From the first season I never thought the story would turn out this way and I'm hooked!
DGM still dark with great characters, storyline, and action. This season didn't disappoint :D
I think the second season did a really good job and a third season is a must! Would be so heartbreaking if it doesn't happen... it would mean that I won't know of Lavi's fate ;-;

My other thoughts:
- Kanda's return scene was amazing, loved the humor with lenalee (he even called her "lena"!)
- Still can't get used to Krory's VA... makes me think of kanda every time I hear it.
- Lavi's VA sounded like him from that one line xD
- I guess Cross is really gone :( I didn't want to believe it...
- Lenalee's new hair style... dang it, I was hoping the short hair style would stick around much longer but I guess her signature twin tails are on their way.

Well, it's kinda hard to explain, but I'd say, it's the best way to begin with chapter 207. Although most of the events of it are included in the episode 13, including the return of Kanda, there are some significant changes, especially regarding

The same sutiation with chapter 208, which shows Kanda getting Crystal Mugen, but some events leading to the next arc were cut out in the anime just to end it smoothly. Also, I should add that

A pretty nice conclusion for this season. Although would have love if the animation is better. They also left out the Science division section in chapter 207 & 208. Last few minutes were also anime-original scene(although actually relevant to the story just in different presentation from manga and anime). There left it in a good note and easy for a sequel (if any/hopefully) even with the skip part in both chapter 207 & 208.

Overall, the series is faithful to the manga. Although it would have been even better experience with better animation.
VA actually grew on me for a series having new cast from previous season which is actually great consider this is rare case, except for Cloud Nine's voice.
A nice and nostalgia watch.
Now wait for new chapter and BD. While I am not sure how much BD improve, hopefully it will fix the animation error from TV.
8/10->9 for nostalgia feel for a new production from previous season.

Not a fan of that Lenalee hair, she looks twelve.

Honestly besides the Timothy arc at the start of the season it was a good enjoyable watch. Though a big part of it might be nostalgia but the Kanda arc was really good and the ongoing(?) Apocryphos arc makes me want to know more. The way Hallow unfolded also leaves me in awe of how much the author planned out the plot well such that new developments never feel like they came from out of nowhere.

It took me a bit of time to adjust to the new art/voices and I still think a handful of characters and voices are not right but I'm grateful they did another season. Hopefully it doesn't take another decade to see a continuation.

It took me only one or two episodes to get used to the new art style and the new Seiyuus. Most of them did very good while some were annoying like Lavi and Krory. I was disappointed when I knew the anime will only have 13 episodes, but after knowing they'll adapt far in the manga I felt reassured and continued watching it happily.

I knew Kanda was alive, they just kept saying he died but I just couldn't believe it and couldn't stop myself from smiling when he finally appeared. Also is just me or did the "mother" person appear in S1?

Lenalee looked so cute this episode.Totally a waifu material :3

Overall I enjoyed this season just as much as the last one which I watched not so long ago in preparations for Hallow. S1 started really slow but when the plot finally picked up the anime kept getting more interesting.

I'm content with how they wrapped up the series. Not sure if I should wait some years for 3rd season or start reading the manga. I remember really disliking the art style for the events S1 covered. Will only think about reading the manga if the new art style is to my liking.

I expected something more impacting and big, but well this sure was quite different and somewhere rather disappointing.

That said this second season to D.Gray-man was actually quite disappointing in general for me, I also first expected this to be a lot longer, but with this kind of ending there's only hope for another season that continues the story.

All in all an okay season but nothing more than that.

I overall loved this season - it was so packed, maybe fast paced sure but not exactly rushed either. The character relationships & such were already established since the fairly long 1st season so they wasted no time, which was for the best considering all the reveals & twists we got - talk about curve balls.

In a way, this season could be summed up as "being Allen is suffering", yet that only makes me appreciate his character even more for walking forward despite all that. Not much of the usual shounen shenanigans "I fight for my friends!" this season either. Hell, Allen's on his own for a now - the gray in the D.Gray man becomes apparent in this season.

The Order did some nasty shit, and they're suffering the consequences of their actions now, yet when you think about it it's still the side to actually support overall because there's no better option out there(even if it's impossible for Allen right now). Like, Tykki & Road are cool & all but rooting for the Earl & his Noahs ain't exactly an option, seeing what he does with people's souls.

I'd hope the Order would see some change when it comes to the higher ups - or heck, see it reformed, but with D.Gray, you never know which curve the ball's go next, and I dread to think how long will it take for another season to grace our screens.

The most reasonable things to hope for is probably Hoshino releasing chapters more frequently.

Being a huge fan of D.gray-man after completing the original series and hearing about D.gray-man getting animated again I was happy.

I think the ending of the series is good but compared to the original it isn't that good but I have read the manga and hopefully they can make a 24 episode series for the sequel. I am quite far with the manga but hopefully they can cover the volumes .

Considering what Allen did for him, it's not that surprising. Allen helped him settle his biggest goal/dream of both lifetimes. Even someone as Kanda should appreciate it.

As someone who had loved the first season so many years ago, I must say that I really enjoyed seeing them in anime form again!

I remember when the first season ended, I went on to the read the manga and then gave it up at some point when there were no more updates for a while... I guess I haven't reached those arcs yet cause I don't remember any of that. Really makes me want to pick it up again!

What a roller coaster of emotions though! I like how they ended it just like the previous one! On an ending that suggest that it's not over yet! Hope to see more of it to quell my heart.

the season was disappointing for me and i felt Kanda's comeback was forced. The writer was sloppy and sluggish, considering i was looking forward to this series. I think the creators are dragging the series longer and most of you will be dead before the millennium Earl is defeated. 6/10 was generous and should have been 2.

hnnnghhh~~ <3 LENALEEEEE <3 <3 Your new hairstyle is adorable. How pity that she was told ugly by Kanda but He meant not her looks but her grief. Kanda Kyaaahh moment when he drank Innocence from Lenalee palm!!

My overall score varies depends on reading manga and without reading. I have not read the manga and this season plot is new to me. Thats why I give this score a 10/10. If I knew the story from the manga, this show rating will drop drastically up to 7/10 so its matter whether knowing or not knowing the story :p

I honestly dont know what to think of this one. 13 episodes is not enough for this kind of anime. Part of me is happy to see the gang again animated but then the other part is saying it shouldnt have been released at all if it was going to be this short. It was like a tease. Plus they butchered Lenalee's character completely.

Now I know, being at the latest chapter of the manga, that there isnt really enough source material to go 24 ep but even an anime original end is better then no end tbh. Two different endings is cool when it is done right..

I also have to add that it didnt have the charm that the previous anime had. 7/10 for me.
