| As much as I love Saya, it's been 12 years since the game came out, and there's a lot of graphic sex and guro they'd have to tone down in a proper anime adaptation. I guess they could make it a hentai, but making the sex scenes titillating would decrease the quality of the work severely in my opinion. I'd have to say probably not, but bigger surprises have come out of Japan. Nurse Witch Komugi came out around the same time as Saya and that came back this season out of nowhere. |

| I read the whole thing recently, I don't think it's liakely since the story is too extreme for them to make any good enough sales out of it and it would require a big budget to make it worth watching. | I hope so, It's one of the most unique ideas one could make. The story is so beautiful.. The characters, the gore-y scenery, the whole universe and everything about that game is simply said perfection. Unique stories and worlds are rare to come. I finished the actual ending (the one where you take longer to get) and damn I was so fucking sadddddddd :'( then I went to do the other ending and guess what, sadness followed again.. They call the creator a butcher or smth well no wonder he really butchered my feelings (and Fuminori if you get what I mean lol) and that's one of a million reasons I love that Visual Novel. However... if it was made into an anime. It might (or might not) lose a certain something. That something is the mystery factor. Simply reading and hearing about Saya's appearance and not ever seeing her makes it million times scarier because the scene is not moving. You're stuck you just see that description and shape your mind image according to it, all the while hearing the creepy sounds in the background. Now that feels splendid. If it was animated I'm not sure how they could make it equally scary. No doubt I would love to see it animated, I'm just saying what I think. As far as censorship goes.. Put it straight onto a DVD the TV channels don't appreciate art freedom and would do bad for Saya. Maybe doing a movable-illustration-animation style would work better? Something like GODKILLER Imma link it hang on https://youtu.be/a40401e7p4s here's the full movie. Now be warned the animation style is not something everyone would like. But damn it's unique, and an AMAZINGGGGG dystopia (or post apoc) story. I recommend everyone to watch it or read the graphic novels. Personally I only watched the movie and damn it's one of the best stories and animations I've ever watched. The colors and character designs are handled beautifully. If you like Mad Max styled stuff and don't mind gore and dark vibe then you might like this if not the movie then the GN. |

Yes, i do agree, some of them felt unnecessary, it should also have worked by just implying. So, The Best thing is to remove but imply everything. How Saya transformed/altered people was based on those "sexual" scenes. So it would be weird to completely omit them. |

| I'd be fine with a manga adaptation too (unless there already is one and I just haven't found it), but an OVA by a good studio would be the best option. Maybe we'll have to wait until the VN is 20 years old til we finally get an adaptation, like with the Parasyte manga. It'd really be a waste to not do anything with it, since it's got Urobuchi's name attached to it and probably still a decent amount of fans. |
