| The drama is palpable. I feel like I understand Minorin and Ami a bit more and their motivations. Ami just wants someone who can accept her for who she is, Minorin wants to seize everything with her own hands and not through others. And Taiga can't face the things she wants because she is scared. |

| Good enough episode, I really liked it's valentine day feeling and even Ami parts were nice but the end totally ruined it. I mean, that scene in the classroom felt so forced and overblown it almost disgusted me. Relationships should be organic, they would find their way together for sure in time, in fact, I think Takasu would tell her soon enough by himself. But instead, this was such useless and unrealistic drama I almost cringed after credits started rolling. And when exactly did Kushieda get to know what exactly she told him? I doubt she told her and surely Kitamura didn't tell her too. And I doubt she could realize that in matter of seconds on the place. She might be angry because Taiga isn't telling her anything anymore but that doesn't change the fact that her spurt was pretty much ill-founded. Now I hate her even more after this nonsense. As for Kitamura and Ami-chan, I can understand their motives but this forcing was just stupid from screenwriter's point-of-view. Mari Okada is good enough author that can portray women well but those extreme moments are definitely something she needs improve a lot in the future (in fact, she already did in shows like Zetsuen no Tempest or Nagi no Asakura but this certainly wasn't the case for Toradora back then). |

Well, I don't know what to think if that last whole scene... It was too melodramatic and also rude... I mean, what obligation each of them had to restrain Taiga that way? WTF!? I can't help but think it was too forced, just to get a confession in the next episode. Ok, I get it they they fell for eachother after being close friends all this time but... come on, what's this? There's this feeling of unease in my towards the situation I can't seem to shake. It feels forced... and quite literally this time. I'm not bashing the main couple tho, but these means to that end... I mean sure, that would be an explanation but I dunno if I've seen any huge signs that would indicate to the others that Ryuji /actually/ likes Taiga and not Minori so yeah...that's kinda confusing edit2: read a much better explanation. I think I get it now Post #154 for anyone who read this and has the same confusion as me. Wow, you read a lot of posts to get that one particularly. Let's see it. | Well, it's hard for me to believe that some people believed this was going to end in any other way than TxR ;p... Also, since when is high school love so dramatic? What did I do wrong in my life? Xd I absolutely loved the fact that Haruta has a girlfriend and is so chill about it, like a normal human being... Best part of the episode for me :DD |

| I can understand the confusion and hesitation before, and not being self aware of feelings etc. But at this point Ryuuji actually needs to take some action. Two episodes left though, so I doubt anything will be resolved in the next one |

She also said she wants to decide for herself, but then decides for Taiga and Ryuuji what is best for them -.- This pair Ryuuji x Taiga is ultra forced by author he dug his own grave by this pair as it makes no sense. |

| Nice to have some break from all those constant boost of excitement in the previous episodes. Need space to take a breath. Even Haruta-chan can get a girlfriend. I think his dumb but straightforward attitude is what made it possible. He would just say anything on his mind without redundant processing. Damn amazing human barriers and all-out-ed Minori. The ending we all wanted is finally here! Though I'm ok with Ryuji + Minori, the fact that Taiga is hiding her feeling and Minori knowing it somehow made the story more interesting. Most of his actions are motivated by other people (Taiga, his mother, Kushieda, and Kitamura), he's addicted to the phrase "it's okay". |

| Okay, I like Minori, but what she said to Taiga here was very unfair. "You can't decide what makes me happy", girl, you know that Taiga does that only because she cares about you, and you're doing the exact same thing with her ! Actually, she does everything she accuses Taiga of doing and unlike Ami, it doesn't seem to be because she sees herself in her. And the show tries to tell me that she is doing the right thing ? Why does it keep putting the blame on the wrong person ? There hasn't been a single time where the real victim has been portrayed as such, no matter who that was ! And once again, same issue : the drama is forced. Were all those screams and tears really necessary ? Was the situation really that dramatic ? Are the characters really this tortured ? Of course not. I would've largely preferred it if they made everything more subtle. And that's one of the reasons why, in the end, Ami is clearly best girl : because nothing is forced with her. Even her fight with Minori was totally in line with her personality. I don't feel like they are overdoing anything with her. I wish they did that with the others as well. Plus, now they're telling me that Taiga is and has always been in totally good terms with her mother ? So she only ever had issues with her father right ? No one else ? So that's making all this drama even more forced. She isn't the tragic character they're telling me she is. And I keep criticizing this show because I actually like it, it is charming, endearing, and I can see its potential. It's frustrating to see it not being used correctly. Edit : Reading the comments, I'm glad that people are agreeing with me this time about how forced the last scene felt. I thought something was wring with me. |

| OK I feel I'm lucky to have the 400th reply of the forum of this episode. So Toradora is a story of good intentions but bad things?It is weird but true that there isn't one end to make everyone satisfied.Like preceding few episodes,their classmates are trying to match Kitamura with Taiga,but that made Kihara uncomfortable. Taiga wants to match Ryuuji with Minori but she herself also likes Ryuuji. Ami wants to match Ryuuji and Taiga but she herself also likes Ryuuji. The most confusing to me is Minori.She forces Taiga to tell her feeling to Ryuuji.I don't know why she did that. So poor Ryuuji,although he is liked by three cute girls...NO ONE CARES ABOUT HIS FEELING !You all care about others but in the end you have lost your own happiness.That's too sad. |
