Well, you gotta start somewhere and their first performance wasn't half bad at all. Just need more exposure.

Bah, why the hell do they think that using such abnormally high pitched voices is a good idea? Don't get me wrong: I am not foreign to seiyuu pitches, and how high they can go. However, that glasses girl (who looks trashy, might I add) and silver haired idol (don't care what her name is; if she's worth knowing I would know her name) sound like someone chipmonked their already high pitched voice.

Bah. On the plus side, I liked the music and visuals. Black twin-tailed tsundere loli looks like she'll be my favorite. But of the 3 current idols, Mio 2 takes the cake. The other two are ****-tier idols.

Great ep.

Was expecting there to be almost nobody in the audience. Glad I was right lol. It's much better when they start from the ground up. Makes the journey that much better in the end.

The fact that the other girls that eventually join the group were in the audience just made that performance special. The song was pretty good as well, though I'm still not a fan of the CG but hey, not every idol show can be like idolm@ster :P

Overall I love the path the show is taking so far. I can't wait to see them fill all the seats :)

Good episode. Nice to see that they'll go through some problems and not immediately make a breakthrough.

I preferred the route they took (no one coming) instead of the making a mistake or getting shy route, so I'm glad they took this one :)

Umi is the best til now, and I also want to see more of the twintail tsundere XD

good episode, Honaka's my favorite :) my heart kinda sank for them when there was barely an audience...at the same time, it makes it more interesting and the CG hurts a little but not as bad as Aikatsu! "shudders" >_<"

Why can't somebody just enjoy this as a different show instead of keep on comparing it with other series? :)

The plot is well expected. How many idols out there started off to be a superstar initially? Popularity has to slowly builds up when the idols are always doing their best with the thought of giving their audiences an awesome performance! It's true that the stage was lonely. But "THIS IS ONLY THE BEGINNING OF THE BEGINNING". Well done gals! You did great :D lol at the "everyone's a vegetable" part, that always works huh? xD

Put that aside, it looks like we will have another idol group next ep ^^ who else is excited? :3

haha! I'm with you! AKB, Aikatsu! and this. The girls are damn cute and I enjoy those songs too! Still that song from the other school the girls watch in emulating get's stuck in my head, it's so catchy.

I didn't expect an almost empty audience, I said in my head "n-no way!..." but I am glad it turned out well, liked their cute dance and song can't wait for the next episode.

"Someday we'll definitely...fill every seat in this auditorium!"

- Best quote from Honoka right there.

Damn, I almost teared up when the auditorium is empty, until the girl with glasses came and all future members went to the concert. That's right girls, never give up! It's just the start of it all.

Seems like the three first years are forming an idol group.

I saw it coming, I really did, but when they opened the curtains and no one was there.... ouch, I felt so bad. Oh god my heart.

It had an optimistic end, but man, that moment had more affect on me than any of the forced melodrama in Kotoura-san, good job Love Live.

^ this, but I have to agree that Mimori as Umi-chan's Seiyuu has the best singing voice so far. I can tell that she is suppressing her singing to be in the same tune with others. Not to say others are bad, but Mimori's vocal ability is definitely better. If I were Simon Cowell, I would pick her :D

That was a very nice episode. Shame they didn't have a big audience at first, but I know they'll do better later on. Very nice performance regardless. My opinion of this show has turned around somewhat despite the fact that I still don't have a lot of care for any of the characters.

It's a musical, not a drama so I don't care much as long as it keep being cheerful, care-free and have good musics.

I, as well, didn't expect the auditorium to be filled completely but for it to be utterly empty was a surprise to say the least. You can imagine how happy I was when the girls decided to keep performing, not letting their effort go to waste. A sweet episode with nice animation being shown during the performance (I expect no less from Sunrise).

Are there going to be more girls singing in the idol group - or is it just going to be those 3?

Anyway, who do you guys think is the best or worst singer? I loved Umi's voice, but, on the other hand, Kotori's voice was terrible. It sounds so childish.

So far the director is doing a good job.

Honoka is energetic, and bit clumsy, but she shows a lot of energy and optimism. I really admire her for that. That's the start of their new idol adventure, and I'm gonna have fun watching them go through hardships and fun moments.

Go girls!

I figured they might fail or something and that will show their true determination, but it was still saddening anyway. Still, the performance (for the few that watched it) was great, as if it wasn't their first performance. It sounded great, and I really liked the choreography. I thought they would fill the whole episode preparing for the concert, but I'm glad it wasn't so. Interested to see what happens next.

I really enjoy their song. You know it's a good idol show when you enjoy the opening and their first serious song.

Too bad about the auditorium, I figured they'd have maybe gotten ten random people that weren't in the opening but no, not even some stock face characters. But, ground up. Can't wait for the next episode.

I think the animation was better than the 3D. It looked atrocious. Well I did not like it. In general 3D is kind of lame. It’s a easy way out of effort in general. So I kind of liked when they switched from 3D to anime and all.

Back then you go to Macross the first movie and the Frontier, don’t get me wrong each series has its power points but to the most all know Macross the first movie took much more effort in drawing it than using any computerized stuff. Suffice to say this all is part of my rant. If anyone also noticed the 3D jumped by over 50% usage in series this season and who knows how much more will be used.

That being said I still think the 3D is killing the anime world. Somewhat. I must admit that UMI in the following,

Got over exaggerated but exposed nicely in terms legs.

3D(u cant call that 3D...) CG is lame n that is why i drop other similar series, and i still think CG is lame in this anime. but that doesnt made any different to me now, i m hooked, thanks to the good direction of this anime.

p.s. i would have seriously drop this series if the auditorium was actually full with audiences
