| God, I loved every bit of this episode! It had everything- the jazz, the emotions and the romance. I couldn't take my eyes off the screen XD Kaoru kissing Ri-chan was very unexpected indeed. And man, my worst fear turned out to be true after all- there's gonna be a love triangle between Sentarou, Yurika and Jun. So, things will get interesting now. Btw, who had this urge to punch hard that drunk racist guy at the bar? :/ SnA is getting better and better with every episode. It's gonna be my fav anime of this season if it keeps this up. Looking forward to the next episode xD |
| This anime has so far yet to disappoint and this was probably the best episode yet. Sentarou actually had a very emotionally moving back story, being abandoned and seen as a outcast. It wasn't the typical form of discrimination you see in anime e.g hair colour, height or strength. Due to the anime being set shortly after WWII, though sad, its understandable that he would face a certain level of hate due to his racial background. Of course there was also all that jazz. Loved how Kaoru got Sentarou to step his game up by communicating through his playing. Got to say as well, Junichi's english was quite decent. |

| Good episode although Sen's background story is a bit confusing . But after a look at the manga I understand now. Basically Sen's mom got pregnant from an American soldier and after Sen was born, his parents fled Japan leaving Sen's mom's brother (Sen's uncle) to look after him. So the kids that Sen's usually with are actually his cousins and he leaves with his aunt and uncle. |

| Wow lots of development on this one and as Kaoru narrates in the end, unexpected. This characteristic seems to translate to this series as well, at the current 4th episode it looks predictable at the surface but it still manage to be unexpected here and there. |

| Holy shit this show's freaking awesome. The first half was amazing. When Sentarou told about his childhood. I almost looked like this too. The second half was fun with the concert. That drunkard spoke some good english. Something new in anime indeed. Jun was also good with the singing. Oh and Yurika, you are falling for the wrong guy bitch! And the Kiss between Kaouru and Ricchan was cute. But her reaction... Take it as you will. 5/5 Sent with Mal Updater |
| Just like I thought, Ri-chan just doesn't like Kaoru like that. At least that's what I got out of it. Learned a lot about Sentaro's past, really sad. The performance was good, the save was great. Yurika is completely fucking Sentaro over though, come on. Are they not going out? Poor Sentaro. Honestly, poor everyone. This is such a downer. But in the best way possible. This episode, as many have said, felt a lot longer than 22 minutes. It's downright incredible how they managed to fit so much into this episode. I got so much story in so little time, without any of it being rushed. This just gets better and better. |

| The live performance was nice, even with the rude drunk American making a surprising racial slur. Felt kind of like an English dub there lol. And like others, it indeed felt like a lot of story was put into this episode; yet I was not bored one bit like with most anime this season. Didn't think Sentaro was the result of his mom seducing a soldier; that must be pretty hard to live with. |

| Absolutely amazing episode, though I think that first kiss was way to rushed, didn't really seem like it should have happened. We got I see about Sen's past and I have to say it was quite emotional. The Jazz performance was amazing, to bad that drunk guy had to interrupt it. Not to sure if I'm going to like the relationship between Jun and Yurika |

| Excellent, excellent episode. Loved the scene at the bar and seeing the background of Sentoarou. And this anime actually realistically portrays what the mood and forms of expression of the times were. What the drunk sailor said at the bar was the kind of thing people shouted at Elvis Presley the first couple of times he performed (I know rock and roll is a different musical genre but its the same principle). And Yurika and Jun was not altogether unpredictable. They're both gorgeous and those kind of people tend to gravitate towards each other. |

Because I never knew his English was this good (except for maybe the [Rus-yan] part ;)) To be honest, Yurika does seem like a person who would take interest in 'polished', older guys like Jun...poor Sentarou :P |

| Well I'm now going to predict Sentaro is going to be alone at the end sadly, going to bet that Yurika is going to fall for Jun and at some point or another Kaoru's hard efforts will pay off and he will get Ritsuko. Well not that I really care since he is cooler without having to be all tongue tied just hope he doesn't go mopy at any point. |

| Gonna have to give them a big up for using a dude who can actually SPEAK English during the bar scene. Damn. The amount of times I've watched an anime where an American comes in and speaks perfect Engrish. So aggrivating. Example: I knew race was going to get brought up eventually and I'm kind of stoked about it, since Jazz does have a lot to do with it and this is based in the 60s. I love the art in this anime. Every episode it's half of what I'm focused on. Onto the next :) |

| Kaoru kissing Riko was amazing, finally someone with balls. But Sentarou is going to be a pain in the ass now that Yurika likes the other guy. More Jazz, less romance. 4/5. |
