Another great episode. I'm really loving how this series is going right now. The dinner scene got a bit tense but ended great when Toshihiko stepped in to defend Yuka.

I want to know more details about Yuka's flashback in which the guy mentioned she should avoid the same mistakes as her mother. It sounds like that's another interesting affair.

Plot is nothing special... yet, but the art style still has a refreshing feel to it.

I like this simple plot... simple with a little mystery.

I can't stop watching.

I also wonder about the connection between Yuka, her mother, and that guy who noticed her at the funeral...

So . . . Something has been nagging on me after this episode. He gets a stomach ache when he is about to kill a Flesh Eater and flash backs to his mother, is that because she is a flesh eater? Also is Yuka related to Toshihiko's mother? Pretty sure that guy at the entrance said that she was her daughter . . . But could be wrong. Either way, wonder how this will turn out for him given the fact he just ran away from his organization intent on killing flesh eaters with a flesh eater, and to make matters worse it was the one suspected of killing his father. My bet is that his brother is going to take over the organization and basically kill him.

Yeah the big question is why does Yuka look like his mother? Toshihiko stepped up like a boss though.

for some reason, i initially thought kazama had kill their father to give rise to his tech/unseat his brother, but it seems a flesh eater did actually do it. there's a lot of funky shit going down lol. Love the colours in this series.

also, anyone notice the awesome tension built by the sound? So good.

I'm surprised that I'm not able to find much discussion/analysis for it though. I wanted to look up analysis idea about the metaphorical ape in ep2 (I assume it is one) but didn't find anything.

When they serve the dinner and start to convict Yuka the ape has 4 scenes:

1. He tried to steal the bowl with peach (?) but it got taken away to be served.
2. He tried to steal the bowl with melone from the table but one guy grabbed it to get yuko a piece of peach.
3. He tried to steal the peach out of the bowl but it was empty alreay.
4. In the end, he sat there with the remaining bowls, munching those peaches.

I thought it could be seen as a parabel to what happened.

1. The men got an idea what she was and made a plan and lured her into a trap to convict her. -->The ape spotted the bowl and got lured in when the bowl was taken away from him.

2. The men and Rie tried to sound Yuka out. She tried to dodge the questions but got more and more into trouble. -->The ape tried to get the bowl but it was ordered away and remained short of his grasp.

3. They convicted her of being a flesh eater. --> The bowl was empty. She was caught in the trap with the initial lure gone.

4. Yuka was free together with Toshihiko. She was saved and got what she wanted. --> The ape finally got his peaches.

That's the ideas I got because I think there was a meaning behind those scenes. I would have really like to get some more ideas from other people.

Agreed. I feel as far as comedic devices go the gag accomplishes its task.

I find the various subplots sequenced liked a well structured novel. Has anyone noticed?

Once again a well directed and produced episode.

By the way I would never hang upside down from a railing the way Yuka and Toshihiko did at the airport scene. How did her dress stay upright? Questionable physics anyone?

That was better than the previous ep. The tension with the drums was great. So far the story is pretty typical, but the animation style and the OST is what's selling it for me. Let's see where this goes.

Now that the father is deceased things are really tense, especially how the brother directly accused Yuka of killing him and revealed her Shokujinki condition
