| In Fujimi Shobo's live program on Niconico Live, Gatoh Shoji mentioned the current situation of the fourth season of Full Metal Panic. He said "Due to the circumstances of the business, I cannot freely talk about the fourth season. The project is not dead but don't have high expectations. Please wait for the realization patiently. As long as I keep silent about the fourth season, you can take it that the project is still running. When the new season is officially canceled, I'll announce it." The first volume of a spin-off novel "Full Metal Panic Another" will be released on August 20th. A new collection of the short stories of FMP will also be released on the same day. | The Japanese fans that I follow are all saying that they're hopeful. The wording of the translation is kind of rough and is conveying a different voice. If the Japanese fans that watched the stream are saying they have hope, then I'm right there with them. ^^ (I watched the stream too, but kept spacing out, so I kinda missed the exact wording during that part. Caught plenty of Gatoh leering at 'Lina though >.> Perv. Drunken perv. XD) |

This. (and *ahem* pet peeve... Gatoh isn't a mangaka. He's an author, plain and simple. All the art in the novels is done by a different person, all of the manga are done by other people. He's not an artist, he doesn't draw. He just writes some awesomely epic words ^^) But, yes, honestly. It's a rough translation, and if the series was definitely getting cancelled, it would have been, and he would have been saying something much different. I know it's been a long time, but c'mon FMP fans, hang in awhile longer. ^^ Busy yourself with other stuff until that announcement comes. Me, I'm gonna be polishing off my Japanese by reading the new novel series! Woo, enthusiasm!! I has it! (And no life! Wooo!) I was watching the stream, none of the comments were crying about a lack of anime. They were intrigued. There was a ton of "OOOOOOOOO" floating across the screen at that point. The Japanese fans have hope and are intrigued! So stop being so glum over a rough translation! XD |

| The forced kiss/girlfriend stealing, rape attempt, the loss of all hope and other happiness I spotted as I glanced through what's been released of Sigma (post-TSR manga) would make it... awkward to adapt. The first season/Fumoffu's content had a lighthearted, romantic comedy edge which made it easy enough to sell to all ages, and even TSR started out with some of the usual comedy... but it all gets so depressing/bleak that it'd make those drawn in by the rom-coming uncomfortable. Awkward to put on TV story is awkward. |

| Its very uncool to close a project that needs to reveil more and more of his story , how many people do you think you gonna break the hearth or give a unhope for what is the end of the history , its a love story with alot of war , its so awesome that have many factores for his continuity. | FMP was the first series to get me into anime. Even after watching a load of other great and amazing series, it still holds a place in my heart as a classic... a classic which WAS NEVER FINISHED! D: Some small corner of my heart will die if it gets cancelled... at least give it closure.. don't leave it hanging :C |
