The massacre of the Whitebeard pirates and their allies did drag on a bit, but the point came across. The last 5 minutes or so of this episode though were outstanding. It kills me that it had to end where it did. |

Luffy jumping in-frond of the three admirals was one of those epic scenes. He is full of rage but i doubt he can do much against them. The other guys need to help him there. Overall a very good episode. Let's see what Whitebeard and his pirates will do for a final effort. |
| well technically the Marines are stronger than Whitebeard pirates BUT they are strong only on 1 vs 1 fights if for example Shanks crew and Whitebeard would unite, World gov. wont survive.. or the other 2 Yonkous.. |

| This was bloody epic, I think this arc definitely tops the Enies Lobby arc. The scale of this war and the incredible list of opponents makes it well worth the watch. One Piece once again affirms why I think this to be one of the most, if not the best anime that I have seen. But seeing this always makes me wonder… how much more epic would it have been if Zoro was there? o_o |
| So I'm the only one who didn't like this at all? Whitebeards team should be swimming in the ocean by now. But I guess the lava guy just felt like stopping to shoot lava so that Luffy can make his stupid entrance. And theres still no reason for the walls to be there (other than surviving Whitebeards first blow). |

| Luffy's grand entrance is totally awesome!!! Epic! Love how they depict it with the effects and all that! And the three admirals facing him and Luffy with the mast and the water surrounding was so SUGOI!! I was shouting in my seat!!! Gooo Luffy!! (haven't read the manga so no spoilers please.. I'm still on chopper's arc on the manga.. =P) |

| Now this is what you call a war! haha Its some back and forth action there! those rookies in Sabaody Archipelago must be sh*ting their pants with Luffy getting all the spotlight! :-))) Just how many times will Ivan and Jinbei save Luffy? They're like his bodyguards now :-D The ending with Luffy and the mast is amazing.. just worried on how he'll tackle them :-P |

| OMG that last scene was beautiful, with the water animation and everybody drawn so sharp. luffy looked AMAZING half-crazy with wavy hair. it was really painful watching the wb pirates getting massacred though. |

| And this is why I dislike One Piece a little bit... Like Naruto, Both Main characters are dumb and expected to be that way, no thinking , just action! But when you see this stupid bloodbath , you start wounder about the bugs of this plot! Want to know how to destroy the biggest pirate in the world? Easy: 1st: abduct 1 of his crew and bring him to marine headquarters. 2nd: Spread the news you are going to execute him. 3rd: Call all marine forces. 4th: profit! -.-' Don't get me wrong, I'm on fire with this episodes, but I can't stop feeling is all a little bit forced! Oda must had thought to create a new pirate era where maybe Luffy will be the king, and this was his way to "destroy" the current era.... Imo, it was too much forced! All of this could happened, but in a more even way. That's my 2 cents . |

| Sengoku is a dirty dude. This clearly wasn't all about Ace. He held him as their trump card so they could slaughter all the Whitebeard's and their allies. Sure, perhaps Ace's execution was the immediate goal and they knew Whitebeard would not let that happen so they decided they had to use his life to control the Whitebeards. But still, to declare Ace's execution almost as a bell to start the bottleneck slaughter of pirates with one option left was just gross to watch. It was a seriously grisly sight and it makes sense that Whitebeard is prepared to retire after this. We know how important a ship is to pirates, the Merry was part of the crew, so to apologize to the Moby Dick was a way to see that here too, on top of the emotion from everyone as they panicked to save her. Then on top of that it rained lava, send pirates into the boiling sea, presumably drowned power users, and all the while sprayed canon balls at everyone as they struggled to stay safe. Finally they focused all their fire on the one entrance as everyone's futile attempts to break in were stopped. Plus the Pacifista's I was wondering about are still around, they finally made their way up to the main action to work as barricades and supporting fire. It was just horrible to watch and it makes sense why the World Government would cut broadcasting after "revealing" Whitebeard to have cut a deal and before showing this mass slaughter. The encircling walls certainly are acting as the casket of the Whitebeards. It was interesting to show all the supernova's as it did. Notably Bonney was crying and even more notably Law started to perhaps head to Marineford?! He seems absolutely disgusted at the slandering the navy has done to Whitebeard. And just as I was thinking about how little Luffy has really done in this battle except boost morale he's the one who launched his way over the wall with some help from Jimbei. Really, how many times has Jimebei saved Luffy already!? Anyways, that was beautiful what Luffy did. Just, actually so cool, he did exactly what Luffy does best. Road right in to face the three admirals himself. However, thinking clearly about it Luffy has never harmed a single one of these guys, his best bet will be to create a diversion to make an opening so that the Whitebeards can rush in like they want to, and on top of that play a game of evasion and nab Ace. In my mind that's the best outcome here, unless he unlocks some accidental super haki that is, which to be fair he has done twice already so it's not entirely off the table. But the camera panned up from his perspective so I'm sure he realizes this too. Two things I found odd was how Whitebeard could probably crack the earth in half yet couldn't break the wall but that may be explained through his injury, of course his relative frailty in his age, and also being cautious of his own men. The other being that Marco who can fly hasn't just flown in there. Obviously that's dangerous, Marco seems to only be able to keep up with one admiral, but with seemingly no hope and Ace's execution in moments I was expecting Marco to fly in there to try and grab Ace and maybe throw off the pressure from the bottleneck. Of course we don't know his personality too well so he may not be the risky type like Luffy is, but it just surprised me a little not to see him trying anything like that. P.S. Win or lose, Luffy will be in like a 2 year coma after all of this. o-o |
| Luffy only had enough power to beat a Warlord and couldn't even land a single hit on Aokiji and Kizaru before this big confrontation but he doesn't care about that at all! The only thing he's thinking about is his goal to save Ace no matter what and the question of whether he can beat any of the Admirals that stand before him looks like it's the last thing in his mind. |

| This episode is easily one of the best that I remember within 500 episodes of One Piece. The first half is absolute hell with the magma raining down and it's not until Oars gets back up that there's a faint glimmer of hope again. Watching the Moby Dick burn reminded me of the Going Merry and I'm sure that Whitebeard had just as deep a bond with it as the Straw Hats did to Merry. Adrenaline went through the roof when Luffy faced down the 3 admirals. This has been my most anticipated moment to rewatch since I booted OP back up. |
