| I thought Umino was actually pretty good in this, he may be a somewhat delusional nerd, but in a pinch he was willing to go up against a youma for Naru--that took some courage. Of course it helps that an oxygen-starved Naru mistook the real Tuxedo Kamen for Umino fighting to protect her--but what the heck...love has bloomed. |

| Loved how Tuxedo Mask just beat the hell out of those petals while an actual fight was going on right behind him. And I liked Umino here, it's sweet how far he was willing to go for Naru, if not a bit stupid. |

I'm getting really tired of how all these guys get rejected at first but then after proving their heroism the girls immediately fall in love with them. At least Tuxedo Mask is cheesy in a fun way (both in design and personality), but Rei's other love interest and Umino might as well be the same character: they're loud, they'll pester you but they're also brave. On the other hand, a questionable age gap like the one between Mamoru and Usagi is averted in their cases... I guess that's the only saving grace of these pairings. |

| Yeah, this kinda cheapens the whole impact of Nephrite's death... I don't really have anything against Umino. Sure, he's annoying, but in an endearing way, kinda like Usagi. But this really happened way too fast and feels really cheap. That said, this episode was really funny once again! It's weird that those comedy episodes are all bunched up together instead of spread out throughout the season. I was kinda hoping for some more serious plot development. |

| It's nice to see some side characters have lives outside their relations with the main characters, like Umino not just remaining lovestruck for Usagi. Its also nice to see that Tuxedo Mask doesn't seem to be stuck as their ally until (big manga spoilers) here and they seem to be setting up a 3-way conflict over the rainbow crystal. Will be cool to see if that ends up happening or if they will just stick to the manga regardless |

| So Umino decided to dress up as Tuxedo Mask eh? Stupid idea but this is Umino we are talking about here. Though I do admit that's pretty sweet he was protecting Naru from that Youma. Also your attacking at pedals, Tuxy. |
