| Feel like this is going to be harder for some people to answer than others. I was listening to the first "Kimi ni Todoke" opening song today and thinking how much nostalgia I feel every time I listen to it (also the original "Fruits Basket" OP/ED/OST songs make me feel this way as well), but I constantly get the impression that there's quite a lot of anime fans that only feel this way about shounen series. What other non-shounen things did you enjoy as a younger anime fan? |

| for me it’s cardcaptor sakura, I have some of my favourite clow cards that I use as bookmarks and I always feel nostalgic when I grab a book to read and see them |
| The biggest thing for me is probably video games, mostly RPG's. Like Arc the Lad, Ar Tonelico, Puyo Pop Fever, Street Fighter Alpha, all of which had anime inspired art on their covers or in the game itself. Pretty much my first exposure to the style. Yugioh card art also invokes a lot of nostalgia for me and makes me think of anime in general. Yeah, aside from Shonen, it took me quite awhile to get into anime. |

| For me it's some mecha anime from early 2000s to 2010. Particularly Gundam (Seed, Seed Destiny, 00), Macross Frontier, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, and Gun x Sword. I didn't get the chance to watch most of them completely as a kid, but I decided to watch them again recently since I got into Super Robot Wars back in 2021 and I feels really nostalgic about them. |

| I always get nostalgic when I think about shows that were really huge when I was just getting into anime. Toradora, Angel Beats, Haruhi Suzumiya, Kimi ni Todoke, Ouran High School Host Club, Vampire Knight, Hetalia, there's so many. Also the nostalgia when I think about the collage of anime characters I used to have on my binder in middle school oh god. I thought I was so cool. |

| Ghibli movies (there's a reason all of them are rated 9-10 in my list) i came into anime because i was(am) a huge ariana grande fan, she has a chihiro tattoo, i was curious, i watched Spirited Away, my mind was blown i watched My Neighbor Totoro i was more blown, Howl's Moving Castle took the cake and i watched all ghibli but i never watched anime Anime series, only stand alone movies but after a year i got into anime (properly) via Death Note and thus Ghibli is everything, it gives me nostalgia even tho i watched ghibli in 2019 >_< |

| I suppose any non-shounen anime I watched in elementary - middle school school, so stuff like Sailor Moon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Fruits Basket, DN Angel, Fushigi Yuugi, Kodocha, Magic Knight Rayearth, Mermaid Melody, Chobits, Kaichou wa Maid-sama, Vampire Knight, OHSHC, Full Moon, Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne...I would say Tokyo Mew Mew too, but the recent remake ruined it for me. Huh, I didn't realize until just now just how many shoujo series I'd watched in my childhood. |

| A lot of video games with anime elements or art styles. Persona 2: Innocent Sin and Persona 4 are games that bring me back either just from nostalgia from playing them, or just something like their aesthetics and soundtracks. Games like Fire Emblem Awakening and Fates also bring me back since I remember playing parts of them as a teenager whether it be playing the Awakening Demo, Fates Birthright, or getting stuck on that one fucking map with all the boats in Fates Conquest. |
