If you can't survive a week without anime, you're probably taking the whole thing a little too seriously.

Tbh I'm more of an intermittent anime watcher so my watching schedule isn't that consistent. Watched a lot during Summer and Autumn 2020, but in winter 2021 I barely watched anything. Will start watching again as there's quite some spring 2021 I want to see.

Lately I'm way more into manga, so going without that for a week would be A LOT harder.

that would probably be really easy if my city wasn't in lockdown but now, a week without anime would be pretty damn boring

A week? I've been surviving without any good anime series since 2006...

After 2006, there has been a "drought" of good quality series, that has lasted until today...

Neither Naruto, nor One Piece, nor AOT, nor FMA:B, NOTHING... these do called "mssterpieces" are so hollow and so weak, compared to the real promise that were anime
series during the 90-2000.
We are EVERYWHERE...

I can survive a whole decade without it. Anime is just another interest of mine. I can substitute the time spent watching anime to tv shows and movies and possibly manga since you didn't mention that

A week without anime is easy lol
A week is enough to binge One Piece or Gintama twice.

I wasted all my time in rewatching to the point of my rewatch total is higher than my overall anime total lmao

Probably. Anime's great and all but it's not a need for life. Also, there've been times in which I couldn't watch anime for months so yeah. It wouldn't be a challenge to not watch anime for a week.

In order to prevent it from happening, I just don't stream Anime's but download it as well so that I can watch it anywhere and anytime.

If you can't survive a week without anime then you have a serious problem. The world will not end if you can't watch anime for a week. I go a week or two or even three weeks without watching any anime sometimes. Hell, I've gone a month without anime a few times. The world has not ended with me missing a few weeks here or there. I have other hobbies. Though, admittedly, my other hobbies mostly consist of me reading (fiction, manga/manhwa/manhua, or fanfiction). I have heavy anime intensive years where I watch a lot and I have very light years where I don't watch much. I started keeping track in 2017, mostly out of curiosity and the amount of anime I completed each year reflect how much attention I gave to anime vs. my reading hobby lol (2017=150 anime, 2018=45 anime, 2019=115 anime, 2020=56 anime, and so far this year 2021=27 anime)

I watch anime my whole life for the most part but it ain't like I am addicted, I could probably quit anime whenever I want to. It's just that I have to finish one piece before that.

I'm level on mal-badges.

If we want to be pedantic, everyone would survive even their entire lifetime without anime. Anime isn't necessary to live in any way, shape or form (and if it's the only thing you put all of your time into, you have far bigger problems than "omfg a week without animu").

To answer the original answer: I've gone a year or more without watching anime since I started actively doing it so I wouldn't obviously have issues not watching anime for a week. In fact, that's basically what I do every other week or month anyway.
"The problem with defining even an aspect of your personality by something that you like, is that criticism of that product appears to you to be criticism of you personally. I find it to be a very harmful attitude, [...] you can't rationally discuss a product because you've started to define yourself by its very existence."

I could survive indefinitely. I've taken many long breaks from it. Also, live-action TV shows and movies exist. So it's not like you won't have anything to watch without anime.
